Does the job!
Great product and very easy to use. Nice scent. I like the natural ingredients of ginger and it doesn’t sting too much (a few seconds) when applied to the root. The only drawback….. depending on each person is that for my hair color, black, the finished result isn’t jet black but rather a gradient of 85 to 90% black. I like it because it’s natural for my age without looking like a shiny black shoe shine dye job. I used leftover combs from other brands hair dye to apply/mix in this dye color to get maximum coverage on areas that tend to fall through the cracks. For normal male hair, it’s more than enough product per packet to cover the entire head. For longer hair, buy the shampoo bottle version to get enough customized coverage when applying/coloring. Otherwise, you will need up to 2 packets per coloring.

Two packets are enough to cover all the greys of my medium-length hair and this product is super convenient because there’s not mixing involved. Wear a pair of gloves and further eliminate mess and this product is the most convenient hair dye I have used. Pack a couple of packets into your toiletry bag when traveling to reduce bulk.

I was disappointed by this. I was lead to believe this is one of the newer hair dye shampoos, not a traditional hair dye. It is NOT a shampoo and it does not come in a bottle with a pump. It comes as 10 dye packs. It is a traditional dye with all the attendant mess that comes with the application. I wanted a simple shampoo I apply while I shower and rinse off.

Gonna wash that grey right out of my hair
I’m 59 African American woman and my hair is in the grey/black transitioning stage. I’m also transitioning from using relaxers to going natural. But I’m not ready to embrace the grey just yet. I was skeptical about trying this all-in-one shampoo product, especially since I’ve tried several other brands claiming to cover grey, that failed miserably. However, this product delivered! After using it as directed (I only needed two packs for my short hair – currently 3-inches long), my hair turned a rich, solid black with all the grey covered in just 15 minutes. It smells great, didn’t change my hair texture, and cleanup was a breeze—no heavy chemical smell, no mixing, and no mess around the hairline or scalp.I highly recommend this product if you’re looking for an easy and effective solution for grey coverage. My before and after pictures doesn’t do this product justice. Please note, my hair is in twists, with added hair that has grey highlights. The roots reflect the before and after effect of the product.

I dye my own hair with the usual boxed dyes about once every six weeks. That’s longer than I should go between dye jobs but most times, I get a bit lazy and stretch out the time span more than I should, and my overall hair colour lightens as well as the roots get very noticeable. I also usually prefer dark brown colour for the boxed dyes and find that my hair turns out more black than dark brown.I started to use dye shampoo as a quicker and simpler way to freshen my hair colour in between proper dyeing. When I used this dye shampoo, I tried the black colour and was pleasantly surprised that my hair didn’t turn out too black.This brand of dye shampoo worked similarly to other brands I’ve tried. I have shorter but coarse hair. I used one pack knowing that it wouldn’t be enough to cover all of the roots. My goal however, was to freshen my hair colour and cover the roots on the top of my head where I part my hair. I also wanted to put some on the back where it’s always challenging to dye properly. It worked for what I wanted to accomplish. I knew that I wouldn’t be able to achieve a complete dye job as I only used one pack. I think if I used more packs and did it once a week or more, I would’ve been able to achieve all around grey root coverage. However, I’m happy with the freshened look and not having obvious grey roots at the top of my head in between permanent dye jobs. I also try to rub the dye shampoo on my hair that is closer to my scalp to get better root coverage.Of the few different brands of dye shampoos I’ve tried, I find that this one has good dying strength. There was also no harsh scent nor did I find it overly drying.It’s currently around $10 CAD (depending on which seller it’s purchased from) for 10 packets and for what it does, it’s a good buy.

– The product is similar to other dye “shampoo” products here on amazon. Easy to use. Works for me. What I like about this is that it’s perfect for my long term trip overseas. I just arrived back from Southeast Asia for 4 weeks and wish I have these packs with me. It’s easier for me as I already get used to the product. Buying dye products at the local country is not preferred option for me as I don’t know if it will work for my hair and scalp. This is a better way and will definitely bring with me for my long term travelling.
