Good quality candles without any unnecessary surprises
I bought these just for some evening calm around the house. They’re made well, the scent is light and natural, with no chemical notes. They burn evenly and last long, and the wick doesn’t smoke or crackle. I also like that they don’t drip and don’t leave any mess behind. Overall, just solid, reliable candles that do exactly what they should.

Warm and cozy candles
I love lighting candles it makes my home feel cozy and calm. The quality of these beeswax candles is great, and the natural scent of honey is very soft and pleasant. They have good drip resistance and burn evenly. The size is just right for my bathroom and bedroom. I often relax in the bath with these candles they last a long time, so the longevity is amazing. For me, they’re great value for money

Very good quality candles though burn time is somewhat shorter than advertised
Uptimaz sells the box of candles being reviewed and a stone drying mat for the kitchen. Even though they are only selling 2 items, Uptimaz has an extremely elaborate and beautiful Amazon store front.This boxed set of 4, 2×4 Inch, 100% Beeswax Candle with Cotton Wick has a total product weight of 26.798 ounces including the box and all packaging. Each candle is individually wrapped in paper. The vendor asserts that each candle weighs 6.24 ounces. I weighed the candles and each weighed this amount or just a tiny bit more. Oddly the vendor reports a unit count of 3.86. This is what made me wonder if at least one of the candles was undersized. I checked all of the candles and found that there are no undersized candles in the set and this extremely odd unit count is still a mystery to me. The vendor reports that each candle is 1.89 Inches in diameter and 4 inches high. I verified these measurements and they are correct. The candles have flat cotton wicks with a very light coating of wax for rigidity and ease of lighting. The test candle I unwrapped had a wick that measured 1.46 mm x 2.8mm.Uptimaz estimates that each candle will have a burn life of 35 hours. I conducted a burn test in the real world conditions of my home to check to see if the vendor’s candle provided the advertised burn life. Now honestly, I find that pillar candles tend to be inefficient compared to jar candles and they make a bit of a mess. For these reasons I burn small pillar candles like this in a jar. I know the vendor claims that their candles are dripless but if they truly are it will be the first pillar candle that actually is. The jar captures the inevitable waste wax and assures that one gets the most efficient burn of the candle. I included before and after photos with this review.The burn test lasted for about 23 hours. Looking at the final picture, you will see there is still about 3 quarters of an inch of wax left in the jar. What unfortunately happened is that the wick, lacking support, tipped over into the wax and went out. The wicks in jar candles have that little metal base which is firmly glued to the base of the jar. The wick of a pillar candle resting in a jar lacks that support and sometimes can tip over even when there is a fair deal of wax left. Honestly, this seems like a best case scenario as the candle would have gone out even sooner if it had not been in an enclosure. You will also notice a surprising amount of soot in the upper part of the jar indicating that the candle isn’t burning quite as cleanly as we would like.Despite these shortcomings, it’s not that bad of a set of small beeswax pillar candles. I decided to try to get a little more out of the candle. I put it under a candle warmer until all the wax was completely melted and liquid. Then I added a trimmed, third party wick that has a metal base. This wick won’t actually be attached to the base of the jar but with the metal base, it shouldn’t tip over as long as the candle isn’t jostled. This second candle wick enabled me to get another 6 hours and 9 minutes burn time out of the candle. What this tells me is that even if the wick hadn’t fallen over, we’d be looking at a best case that is a bit short of 30 hours, still well short of the 35 hour vendor estimate.The current going price is $29.99 though they are offering a $3 off coupon right now making the price $6.75 a candle. Even with the shorter burn time, these are still good quality candles. Also, given that these candles have gone through an independent burn test, they are a known quantity. Whatever purchase decision you make, I hope this review has been helpful.
