Washable Outer Encasement

Very Comfortable
I had recently purchased a couple of inexpensive pillow that I was unhappy with. They would get a big “dent” where my head was and wouldn’t spring back. I decided to splurge and purchased 2 of these pillows, which are quite expensive. I’m happy I did. They are firm and springy. No more dents or lumps! They are also “adjustable”. You can take out filling if you want less plump pillows. I did this and they are just as springy as before but a little flatter. I also like that they are made with natural materials.

The latex smell does go away but what I can’t understand is why the company doesn’t sell the outer pillow case separately. Even with my own pillow case over it, they need replacing ever so often. What a missed opportunity! Likely won’t buy again.

Great support without being too firm
I really enjoy the squishy loft of this pillow. Latex is bouncy rather than firm, but offers great support. As other reviewers commented, it is a pain to take out/refill the latex bits in this pillow because they’re very fine, so it was a mess every time I had to adjust it.The reason I took a star away from the pillow, however, is because for how much it costs, it’s not really high quality. The fabric and construction is great, but the quilted side pilled inside and became incredibly lumpy and uncomfortable to sleep on. I had to go in and rip all of the batting out of the quilted side to be able to use both sides of this pillow after about a year of sleeping on it. However, the latex is still supportive and hasn’t degraded.

Support and Comfort
My search for the right pillow has been a long journey of trial and error. Along the way, I decided to give this latex pillow a try. Lucky me…I found the perfect pillow! Chemical odor, foam is not organic
It had a strong smell when I got it. I read that a smell can be normal. I let it sit out for weeks and it got better, but it’s been 6 months and it hasn’t gone away. The fill I removed and retained in a plastic bag has the smell and it’s still very strong. I did some more research and it’s not supposed to smell like chemicals. This product smells like chemicals. I’m really concerned that this is not real, organic latex and I’ve been breathing in chemicals, used to make artificial latex foam, for months now because I didn’t know any better. The marketing is misleading. It’s made to sound like the pillow is organic. But, only the cotton cover is reportedly organic, while the foam fill is “natural,” which means that it can be sprayed with chemicals and that’s another possibility for the chemical odor I’m still smelling.Edit: It’s been about two months since I’ve stopped using this pillow and my migraine headaches have also stopped!

Best shredded latex pillow on Amazon
I’ve been using shredded latex pillows exclusively for the past 10 years. I absolutely love them. I recently needed to replace some of my old ones. I tried a few on Amazon and this one is the best. It’s a little bit under filled for my taste though you can add more fluff by combining pillows. Shredded latex is great. You can form it to the shape you want, and then it’s springy and supportive once formed. It’s far better than memory foam in my opinion because that always gives too much or too little. I also have allergies so I can’t use down pillows.

Smell won’t go away
I received the pillow for 10 days now and it is still gasing out.The smell is very strong out of box, I started hang the pillow up under the sun for 12 hours a day.A person smell can be objective, it might be ok with someone else, but for me this is likely to take 2 weeks to get the smell out.
