No more worries about kettle being left on
I should have done this sooner. I grew up with a whistling tea kettle always on the stove. I always had one myself… most recently a Revere tea kettle that was about 15 years old. I love Revere ware and they don’t make it any more. My husband didn’t hear the whistle and twice left the tea kettle on the stove til the water boiled out and it badly discolored inside. (Impossible to get in there and clean it.) I begrudgingly agreed to say goodbye to it and get an electric one. Should have done it sooner. This kettle is inexpensive (I don’t need the fancy ones with different temperatures, I only use it… all the time… to boil water.). It looks nice (stainless steel), now frees up space on the stove, works well (simple to use) and heats water quickly. It has gotten non-stop use in the time I have had it. Easy to clean, and I plan to just regularly boil vinegar to keep it fresh. Most importantly, no more leaving the house and then saying “oh no, was the tea kettle left on?” I do miss hearing the whistle, but times change. You can hear the water boiling up in this one, which does not bother me in the least. You hear a click when it shuts itself off… the new whistle. I am 73. Yea, you can teach an old dog new tricks.

Works great
Simple and effective. Easy to see when it is on and the ring of light turns off when the water is the ready. Also turns the entire kettle off as soon as the water is heated rather than wait until it runs dry. The metallic look is beautiful.

Very good tea kettle but the exterior gets really hot.
I ordered this kettle to easily boil water for tea and coffee pour-overs and am overall very pleased with it. The water gets up to boiling quickly and it’s easy to clean. The only negative thing is that the exterior, which is stainless steel, gets very hot and sometimes my cats jump up on the counters and I have to make sure they stay away from the tea kettle so they don’t get burnt. It does have an auto shut-off which is handy because I’m very forgetful. All in all, this kettle is a good value.

Good value
My last one of these from Hamilton beach worked for about 3 years with heavy daily use. This model has the LED light which I love and a more ergonomic on off switch. It has already lasted a month and I expect years of use from it. I also like the improved filter. My last one fell out a lot. I looked at the Cuisinart and other expensive versions but I don’t see what they could offer that this one does not. Its plenty fast enough for me.

Heats up fast and easy to use daily
I’ve been using this kettle for about a week now, mostly for coffee in the morning. It heats water pretty quickly — usually around two minutes for a full boil. The blue light is a simple touch but it’s useful because I can tell right away if it’s on.So far I haven’t noticed any plastic smell, and it pours cleanly without dripping. The only minor thing is the lid doesn’t open very wide, so reaching inside to clean it takes a little effort. Other than that, it’s been working exactly the way I need it to.A straightforward, reliable kettle for everyday use.

Great little tea kettle
Excellent simple tea kettle–heats up fast, very easy to use, lid works well, holds more water than our stove top kettle, and the automatic shut off means no one scorching the kettle and setting off fire alarms because they forgot about it and were wearing noise-cancelling headphones. (*side-eyes family member*) Also, I love the red color–goes great in my kitchen. We liked the one at home so we bought one for the family cabin. It’s very simple which is just fine for my use but if you’re looking to control temperature or for other bells and whistles, this may not be the one for you. One of our kettles (from the same line) turns on by pushing the little lever up, the other by pushing it down which is a little funny, but both have their benefits.
