Nice firm bamboo brush with hard bristles.
The brush is solid wood and durable. It won’t break as easy as those cheap plastic ones. The bristles are bamboo and firm. It does a proficient job of detangling but it’s not the best one out there for that.The little plastic stick thing it came with was a mystery. After some research, we concluded it’s supposed to be a cleaner for the brush. That thing is useless.Because the bristles are so firm, it does give a scalp massage feel while you’re brushing, so that’s nice.Overall, the brush is quality and firm.

Gentle on the scalp
I have been needing a new hair brush for a while now. Sadly my old brush has collected to much fuzz and particles. It had a build up around the bristles that I just couldn’t get rid of. It was destined for the trash. A bamboo brush was something I had in mind. Brushes and combs made of wood are better for your hair and bamboo was one of the better choices.The wood of the paddle on this brush is very solid. It can handle rough care with ease and not be damaged. The bristles of the brush were a little unexpected. I partially wanted a wooded brush for bristles that would be hard enough to massage the scalp while you brushed. The bristles on this brush though are very soft. That is not a bad thing. The bristles are very gentle on the scalp. The bristles also seem to move more easily through my hair more so than a plastic brush. Over all I am very pleased with the quality of the brush. It is one of the better choices for those who have an easily irritated scalp. Whats also nice about this brush is that it comes with its very own mini brush to clean it out with. It makes getting out hair and fuzz easier. No need to pick it out with your fingers.

Glides nicely, but left my wavy hair frizzy
I was really excited to try this bamboo hair brush because the concept sounded great, a gentle detangling, scalp massage, reduces static, and smooths hair. Unfortunately, my personal experience didn’t match the expectations.Right away, I noticed that the brush does glide through my hair pretty effortlessly. It feels nice in my hand, and the bamboo bristles are smooth and almost soothing against the scalp. I liked that initial feeling, it seemed like a quality brush, and felt like something that should work. But for me, instead of detangling my hair, it somehow made the tangles worse. I have waist-length, wavy hair that isn’t dry or damaged, yet after brushing with this, my hair got significantly more tangled. The weird part is it slides so easily, but in doing that it seemed to push strands into each other rather than gently loosen them. And frizz? It was major frizz. Like big, fluffy static frizz. I really didn’t expect that, especially since the product claims it helps reduce static. For me, it did the exact opposite. My hair just puffed up, and that extra frizz seemed to lead to more knots and snarls instead of less. Tried my regular brush, everything brushed through smoothly, no more tangles or frizz, tried this bamboo brush on smoothly brushed out hair – back to tangles and frizz. So while the design and feel of the brush are nice, and it might work for some people with different hair textures, it just wasn’t a match for my long, wavy hair. It’s gentle and smooth in theory, but for me, it didn’t detangle and actually made things more unruly.

Bamboo brush feels amazing on scalp!
I’ve never owned a bamboo brush before, but I was intrigued because I’m trying to reduce my use of plastic and focus on more sustainable materials. I ordered the Bamboo Hair Brush with Natural Bamboo Bristles in oval. I have long, thick curly hair that is prone to frizz (I live in a high humidity environment) so I was less worried about static and more interested in frizz control. The brush itself has good “hand feel” and is very lightweight, so I’d recommend it for anyone with arthritis or weakened hand strength. The bamboo bristles feel amazing on my scalp. Massaging, but not too stiff. They slid through my hair without yanking or pulling, leaving me with soft, wavy loose curls. (I used it on dry hair, but the ad shows someone using it on wet hair also, so I’ll try that next.) The cleaning tool was a nice touch, but I probably won’t use it much as it was easy to remove loose strands from the bristles by hand. It’s a really pretty brush, and while I can’t speak to it reducing static specifically since I don’t have that problem, I’m happy with every other aspect of this brush. I recommend it!

Great for my thin, wavy hair
I have thinning, wavy hair that goes to the middle of my back and I’ve always been very cautious of any brush that I use. They tend to frizz my hair or pull it out. However, this bamboo brush with its wide bamboo bristles was very friendly to my waves. I have been using this after the shower with a detangle leave in and found it more kind to my hair than even my extremely wide tooth comb. I’ve seen minimal breakage and shedding! It’s gentle and easy to use.The brush comes in a box that’s suitable for gifting and I was really impressed by both the quality and the presentation.
