Seems like a legit mat!
Upon opening this mat I immediately got a good feeling! Its dense,which is why its heavy, but not as heavy as i was expecting based on the other reviews. This tells me its not cheaply made and won’t fall apart on me within the year or next few months, although only time will tell, so hopefully I’ll remember to update my review after a solid amount of practice time.Along with that, it passed my downward facing dog grip test, yay! It is slightly slick, ill admit, but Im thinking it’s just from the manufacturing process and with some soapy water and time to break in, Im confident the issue will fix itself…again, only time will tell but im going to give it a chance. I purchased a different brand a couple days before this yottoy mat and immediately sent it back! the grip test failed badly and I had zero confidence that issue was going to go away over time, just felt like the way it was made unfortunately and I didn’t feel comfortable playing the “wait and see” game.Also, I tested it on a hard surface just to see how it would do on my knees. Its nothing plush, but it feels like it will protect my body enough that im comfortable. I usually practice on the carpet in my living room anyways.I appreciate that the ends stay pretty dang flat right out of the box too. My previous one I’ve had for years has a curl that never went away. Wasn’t something that bothered me really, so I just feel spoiled with this yottoy mat lolOh, and mine didn’t come with a smell either, yay!!!End of story…Ill go ahead and keep this mat!!

The best yoga mat
I’ve tried the popflex $100 cloud yoga mat and lululemon’s $100 “the mat”, they are so much worse than this yoga mat!!! This is actually a “dupe” for the lululemon mat – same weight, BETTER texture and NO smell. My lululemon mat is 3 months old and still stinks like rubber, it hurts my hands and leaves an odor on my hands as well.Anyway, complaints about other mats aside, this is an amazing mat. I do not slip in downward dog, it has a great texture, and it doesn’t slip on my rug (I’m sure it doesn’t slip on my tile floor either but I won’t be using it on there). It’s very durable and heavy due to adequate thickness to protect your joints, all of which I appreciate. The color pink is more of a peachy/orangey toned pink, it’s pretty. Absolutely perfect for yoga!I got this for $35 and it’s an absolute steal for the quality. I’m newer to doing yoga (2-3 years so far) and this is my favorite mat I’ve tried. 🙂

It’s absolutely worth the price!
This is a very decent yoga mat! I am a somewhat experienced yogeee woman and what I like about it: the rubber provides stability and a good grip once you have clean hands before the session. The mat seems sturdy, it is an authentic rubber! Not too thick (I don’t like too cushiony mats). I like its relaxing green color as well.Some things I may say I dislike: it’s heavy! It’s prob like 4lb! I dont care as I don’t travel with it but it’s not for the travellers. If your hands are not degreased, the grip is somewhat reduced and while doing a downward dog pose – my hands slightly slide but for me it is not a drama. However, I wish the mat had some texture – it is smooth, it also could have the adjusting lines for self-centering. The bottom if it has some mini rubbery pieces that come off it but I don’t think it’s super significant to its sturdiness. It has a rubbery smell and it needs a few days to lose it. Do not bend it uncontrollaby as the bending lines will stay on it.I like it and I will keep it despite some drawbacks. Its quality is great as to a price it has. I would recommend it for the advanced practitioners more. It will bring you lots of joy!

High quality rubber mat
Great mat! It’s a high quality rubber mat that has a smooth, no slip texture. I prefer rubber mats as there is no associated chemical or plastic smell. The carrying case is a nice bonus. This is heavy, so probably wouldn’t be a great choice as a travel mat. But it’s s definitely well suited for home or studio. Excellent price point too. The quality matches that of mats that cost more than twice as much.

Decent mat but difficult to store.
This is a rubber mat. It’s thin, firm, and has a lot of friction. If you’re looking for something softer, don’t buy this. The friction on this mat is intense which is a blessing and a curse. The blessing: you will not slip, your footing will always be sure. The curse: good luck getting this thing back into the canvas bag it comes with. Its friction makes putting it back into the bag impossible!Also, because it rubber , it doesn’t roll up so easily. good luck even rolling this thing up tightly at all without it springing and uncoiling. It’s a decent mat, just quirky.

Good for hot yoga
One of the better ones. Heavy mat that stays in place. For hot yoga, minimal slipping. Normally when I have my hands and feet in the same spot. But if I adjust to a dry spot it’s fine. Dose have a strong rubber smell. But good for price.

The MOST beautiful and high-quality mats
I barely left reviews but I have to do one for those incredibly beautiful and high-quality yoga products! I got the London and Paris mats with their matching blocks. After ALL family members love them (even my hubby practices yoga more frequently!), I just ordered the NYC and Rome.Mats are extra thick (6mm), wide, and long, and blocks are adorable with a little “velvet-touching” surface. And mats are 100% anti slip and therefore perfect for someone who enjoys hot yoga 3 times/week. If I have to name one “con”, because of the high quality, they are a little heavy; however, that also adds a “pro” to make them durable and ideal for outdoor yogas!To the manufacturer: THANK YOU and please consider more cities, such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Barcelona, Venice, Toronto, Vancouver, Beijing, Shanghai, etc. Thank you!!!
