Solid Big Block Building.
I got this Timfuis 64 piece large wooden block set to build with a new wooden train set I have. I remember building some elaborate and intricate layouts as a kid before I had good electric engines to pull wooden train cars around and up over bridges. Using a traditional wood block set, I knew would work well.The set looks nice, and comes Tetris style and packed perfectly in a medium weight plywood storage box.The wood blocks(doesn’t specify kind in any specs), are solid, milled fine with a good finish. It’s all natural finish with pleasant figures in the wood and they look more than just cut extras of wood.They are blocks, and I could stack them high and all sides even and level.*although the blocks are precision finished the corners are straight sanded and are small, flat bevels. I like a little more rounded finished look and feel and it will be easy to fine tune the already excellent blocks to my liking with sandpaper.Overall, the set is going to be perfect for what I got them for and a flagship part of my wooden toy block collection. For the price, it’s a solid base kit and I’m plenty happy for what I got and how much work goes into a set like this. 5 stars👍🏼

This review is for Timfuis Large Wooden Blocks for Toddlers 1-3, 64 Pieces Big Wood Building Blocks, $64 on amazon.These 64 pine pieces have 14 different shapes (which you can see in the photo on the amazon page). They arrive in a nice wooden carry case (with tongue and grove corners . . . very nice) that has internal dimensions of 11-1/8” X 14-1/8” X 5-1/8”. You may wish to observe how the pieces are placed into the carry case before you empty the pieces all over your table or floor, so as to aid with putting all the pieces back into the case when the child is done playing with them.Note: This set of blocks, including the wooden carry case, is the same as the set being sold by the Migargle Store price at $59 (whereas the Timfuis Store price is $64).Regardless of from-whom you purchase this set, it is suitable for passing along from one generation to the next.I easily see giving add-on sets as an annual birthday gift allowing for bigger and bigger build creations.

Fun building blocks
Good quality construction. These are basic building blocks that every kid should get to play with. If you don’t have kids that are of the appropriate age, you should buy these anyhow. Give them as a gift to someone, or just have them on hand for when visitors come over with kids. Excellent toy to keep on hand!

Perfect Gift for Toddlers, Wooden Building Blocks for Children
I bought this Timfuis brand Large Wooden Block set of 64 pieces for our toy area for when our grandchildren visit. They are in toddlerhood now and into building. We have other building blocks but this is the standard set I loved so much when I was a child! They have no smell and are perfectly smooth! LOVE THEM! They come in their own wooden drawer. I wish it had a lid. But I am happy for the bonus of a drawer to put them in. The drawer sits under a table with a placement over it. Placements are a perfect size to just place over the top of the drawer and may be changed to a seasonal look. So, it all works out great for this item. Would make a great gift for a Toddler.

Good, but not quite what they could be
This is a set of natural wood blocks. I’ve added it to our existing set of “standard unit” blocks that we’ve had for almost 10 years from a popular children’s brand.The blocks overall are of similar shape and size, but aren’t an exact match to “standard unit” blocks as I’m used to them. I’m not considering this a big negative though, as the product description never makes any sort of claims about compatibility or “standard” sizing.There are a few problems I noticed though. None are a major problem for older kids, but I would’ve been reluctant to use these when our kids were younger – as they’ve been playing with “standard unit” blocks since they were toddlers.First, the finish/sanding is not quite perfect. We’ve already pulled off a couple splinters. The smoothness in general varies, especially where you can see the tree’s rings in the wood.Second, the corners – particularly of the ramps – are sharp enough that we felt the need to file them down. It’s not a problem on every piece, but acute angles like that should get extra care before getting to the customer.Finally, the box supplied is not going to be a long term storage option because the base of it is very thin wood, and an open gap was already present along one side when we first opened all this up.These are also much lighter weight than the blocks I’m used to. However, I don’t consider that a negative because when towers topple down, heavy blocks do hurt little feet more!These still have a lot of potential. But for the current cost of $63.96, there are better options available.

Very nice blocks
These are very nice, solid wood blocks. They have some heft to them. they are well sanded/smooth. They are nice enough that they will likely be passed down to my grandkids in 20-30 years. The wooden box they come in is also nice, but they have to be fit in like a puzzle which is annoying. Ain’t nobody got time for that.

Really nice
Great set of blocks, large selection in this bundle. Our toddler right now just likes to stack and often throw these, but this is a really good set for the suggested ages. Edges appear to all be routed and smooth and we don’t see any chipped or cracked blocks at all in this. Still nice to find toys for kids that don’t involve screens and electronics.

Sturdy set with large amount of blocks.
This set is very sturdy. I have other sets of name brands, and these are on par with the same price and quality. The wood set is large (you can build some high structures!), sanded, and stands smoothly. Edges look good/ no splinters or frustration with various types of blocks being poorly made or slanted where they won’t stand up. Perfect for free play and using imagination. Just enough blocks where you have plenty to play with without feeling like you need to purchase a second set.
