Great quality enameled cast iron Braiser!
High quality braiser! I’m overly excited about the look and feel of this braiser. I ordered this briser in the fig color. The enameled color is very pretty on the outside as well as the inside. I found no imperfections on this braiser. It’s not as heavy like some of the other braisers in this price range. This 3.4 QT is wide enough to cover my large range cooking eye. For my first meal using this braiser, I made beef tips with gravy. The beef tips turned out fork tender! I made homemade gravy in the braiser, and the gravy did stick to the pan. However, once cooled the braiser washed up nicely in the kitchen sink. I would say this braiser is comparable to the high end French enameled cast iron cookware that I own. I will be on the lookout for other Carote enameled cast iron pieces.

It’s just so beautiful
I cannot wait to cook with it. It’s so well made and it says it’s good up to 500 in the oven. I cook and bake a lot so I’m thinking of making a focaccia in it. It’s the perfect size for a spatchcock chicken recipe I’ve wanted to try. It’s heavy but not too heavy.

Very attractive pot.
Nice little pot. Actually I shouldn’t say little cause it’s a little bit larger than a skillet. I love that the lid has little dimples on it to help based whatever you’re cooking with either steam or grease depending on what the vitamin is. Very pretty very heavy. It is exactly as expected.

The weight…!
Giving it 5 stars because it’s pretty. Haven’t used it but have to say, not a good start! Could barely get it in the door…weighs a ton! Packed in three boxes and IT, on its own, the lid, on its own, weighs a ton.Much larger than I thought too. Not having the wherewithal to return, I had to redo too many places to find a place for it. May give it away. I would be happy with smaller, hence lighter weight. For me, a mistake.
