Great piece of equipment!
I’ve been cooking professionally and at home for over 50 years and there are few things I am impressed with as much as this pan! I have two of them and I abuse them. I scour them with steel wool and abrasive cleanser. I heat them very hot with no food in them. They last for years, don’t get hot spots, retain heat well, clean easily, go right in the oven, and are a good size. They are heavy but for me that’s a plus.

Amazing pan for the price
If you want a pan that is perfect for just about everything, but all means spring for the $140 La Creuset. That pan will last a few lifetimes. But if you want a wonderfully performing non-stick pan for eggs, this is an amazing value for $40. This pan is not totally idiot-proof, and it’s not good for everything. Hashbrowns, for example, will stick to this. But even if something doesn’t work out in this pan, it will come right off after a short soak. You can use soap on it, but it will perform better if you avoid that and keep a layer of oil on it. This pan is perfect for eggs and omelettes, but a bit too small for large meals. If you want a pan that can be used for everything, you will have to spend more money and get something bigger. You can’t compare this pan to a true enameled non-stick like La Creuset, but for the price, it exceeds expectations. It should last a pretty long time if you treat it right.

great for induction stove top
I’ve been looking for a non stick skillet that works on an induction stove top. This one does and is dishwasher safe. Handles the instant heat of the stove top great. It is all one piece with seamless coating. Because of the ceramic coating does not impart metallic flavor to the food. Only draw back is that it is heavy (hello cast iron). Does need some oil when sautéing, but only a light coating (says to not use cooking spray). Cleanup is easy, light soap and warm water or dishwasher (yeah!).I’ve purchased 5 or more other manufacturers and found them wanting. They don’t heat evenly, and the non stick ceramic coating cracks after repeated use. One thing I’ve learned is that pans that just have the added induction plate on the bottom are useless.

This would have been great minus the rust!
I really enjoyed using this product. However, I cannot say it even comes close to Le Creuset. Let’s go deeper:The product arrived in a nice box. I took the pan out the box to clean it with soapy water and wiped it dry with a paper towel. There was paper towel lint all over the place. The interior was so rough, it grabbed onto the fibers of the towel. So, next time I washed it again but used a nylon brush and no drying. My meals (stir fry, soup, and fried eggs) turned out GREAT! This pan cooked really well and DID NOT STICK. I decided to put it in the dishwasher (that way I wouldn’t have to worry about towel lint). When I retrieved it from the dishwasher, there was light rust on the rim of the skillet. It appeared that somehow the rim was chipped or not fully enabled. The purpose of buying an enamel skillet is to not have to worry about rust. I will also note that the inside of the skillet was not perfectly level either. It was a bit lumpy but it didn’t effect my cooking experience.

Never mess with your old cast iron skillet again.
Extremely pleased with this (10″) Cuisinart enameled cast iron skillet. Does not feel as heavy and unwieldy as my old cast iron skillets. Cleans like a dream. Can soak it in water with no ill effects. Doesn’t move or wobble on burner ( I have induction.) And it’s pretty. It’s such a delight to use that it’s become a regular go-to skillet instead of the occasional- oh dear, I must use my cast iron. True test was pineapple upside down cake. Stovetop to Oven – easy to turn out onto plate. Nothing was left in skillet. This price is too good to pass up. Buy it. Use it. Love it.

Enamel chipped off
First of all let’s start the review off with the positives. I like the look. It cooks well with even heat. I’ve used it on both a glass top oven as well as induction and it worked well. Now let’s get to why I gave it one star. The blue enamel chipped off. I hand wash only and take care of my stuff. I’ve never had any enamel chip off from any of my other enameled cast iron brands.

My go-to pan for almost every meal
Very happy with this pan. No issues with rust or chipping and I use it every day. Cooks evenly, easy to clean. (Never put cast iron into the dishwasher.) I got it because I couldn’t put my cast iron pans on a new glass/ceramic top stove. This is fine, as it is porcelain coated. Handle stays cooler than most, so I can move the pan around without a hot pad unless it has been on the burner for a long time. I gave my daughter one two years ago and she loves hers too.

Love these pans
This is my second of these cast iron pans. I bought the red and absolutely love it. Everything cooks great and it is soooo easy to clean, a lot easier then my other pans that claim to not needing cleaning. I just put some sudsy water in and let it sit for a minute and everything comes out easily. It is so easy to clean. I threw away all my other frying pans and bought another one in blue. LOVE THEM !

Amazing colour and pan. The inside isn’t enamelled like a Dutch Oven is, in fact it still almost feels like raw cast iron. To keep price down I’m thinking they maybe didn’t do as many coats inside as the more expensive frying pans we all dream of. So I seasoned my pan on the interior a few times and it has that beautiful seasoned look about it. The instructions/info sheet that comes with, also says season but then says something about nonstick not needing to be seasoned, it’s confusing for 1st time pan owners I’m sure. Trust me though, just season it a few times. – I will say this pan feels about as heavy as a 12″/30cm cast iron pan. You’ll get a workout for sure.

I have cooked eggs and steak on it already, and so far so good! The blue color is very cute, washes easilyIt does require some oil/fat for the food not to stick. It’s a great purchase for a good price.

I bought this already owning a Le Creuset enameled cast iron skillet – I wanted a second skillet for my holiday home, but didn’t want to pay the money for a second Le Creuset pan. On paper this is actually superior to the Le Creuset, as it is a much deeper pan. However it is much heavier, the traditional stubby handle isn’t nearly long enough to safely balance the pan, and the short solid helper handle can get quite slippery when wet or greasy, not anywhere near as good as the looped helper handle on the Le Creuset. What really lets it down though is the interior. The rough black enamel makes it almost impossible to cook anything without sticking – fried eggs are just ruined as soon as they touch the surface. I’m not sure how this is made – I spotted what looked like rust on the surface after a couple of weeks. I wouldn’t expect this from an enameled pan – whether this is due to the enamel layer being so thin or whether it was a flaw in the manufacturing I’m not sure. However this did lead to a positive outcome, as I decided to season the pan as I would for a raw cast iron skillet, and this led to it becoming far more useable than it had been up to that point. Of course this means I have to be more cautious when cleaning that I don’t remove the seasoning, however I’m left with a fairly decent pan. I did eventually give in and purchase a Le Creuset enameled skillet for my holiday home, however I have kept this one due to the useful capacity. With the benefit of hindsight I would probably give this miss and pay the extra money for the Le Creuset, or just settle for an ordinary stainless steel frying pan.

I can’t live without a cast iron pan but when I got a glass top stove this was the only way I could protect that surface and still have my cast iron. It cooks just like the old one but is so pretty I hang it up in the kitchen as a decorative item… very handy. Service was as promised and quality is great.
