I like this hemp seed oil!
After reading that some studies suggest that the omega 3s and 6s in hemp seed oil have been helpful in some skin issues, used topically, but that they are also anti-inflammatory, so can be helpful when massaged in gently to sore muscles, I wanted to try it. I was happy to find this product, manufactured in the United States. The three bottles arrived well packed, so no problems with breakage, and no oil had leaked from the cap or dropper. The oil looks clean and clear, and has a light aroma, clean and fresh. It seems to disappear as the few drops are massaged into the skin, leaving it very smooth. I would describe the texture of the oil as “medium”, not too thick or too thin,The anti-inflammatory effect is subtle, not like taking a full dose of NSAID tablets at bedtime, but it is noticeable, and seems to outlast the tablets, when massaged into the sore and tense areas. Being able to sleep for several hours at night is refreshing, too. Before I wash my hands, after massaging a few drops of oil into any sore muscles, I’ve been patting what’s left around my eyes. It is very soothing, and seems to soften the fine lines I’ve noticed in the “crow’s foot” area.I don’t think I will be taking the oil internally–there are good, food-grade oils easily available, but I am very satisfied with the effect I’m getting, topically. I am glad I tried this product, and expect to continue with it.

Not offensive, but didn’t really do anything
This product is among the strangest things I’ve tried, from the standpoint that it doesn’t really have any qualities that I DISLIKE, but it also doesn’t really have any qualities that I DO like.SCENT: almost nonexistent, which I like. I was afraid it would smell super “hempy.” I’m not exactly sure why it doesn’t, but I’m grateful that it doesn’t!DROPPER: the dropper is awful. Either I got a dud, or it’s the wrong shape and/or size dropper for this oil, or something…but the oil drips out of the tube before I can even squeeze the bulb! Some people may like this; I find it annoying.ABSORPTION: at first, I thought it was going to be a mess that just left my skin greasy-feeling; and I will say that it doesn’t absorb easily at first (at least, that was my experience). But after you rub it in for a little while (less than a minute, don’t worry), it starts absorbing, and then absorbs FAST. (To illustrate: I rubbed some into my freshly exfoliated heels, just to give the skin a little extra nourishment and moisture. Got it rubbed in to the point that I was satisfied it wouldn’t all transfer to my socks. Put my socks back on, and then walked to the bathroom to wash my hands…and my fingers were dry and grease-free; didn’t even need to wash them. So just stick with it; hopefully your experience will be like mine: it’ll get there!SKIN EFFECTS: after applying, my skin definitely feels softer. Also – and this is hard to describe – it feels, I don’t know, “thicker” somehow? If you do paraffin waxing (or have ever just put your finger into warm melted wax – which you shouldn’t do unless you know what you’re doing), you know the feeling of having a thin layer of dried wax on your skin? It’s like that, only invisible and microscopically thin. I like it.OTHER EFFECTS: I haven’t taken it as an oral supplement, or tried to use it as a sleep aid. I did try it on an inflamed shoulder, and it honestly didn’t really do anything that I could notice. I tried it on my crepitus-plagued knees, which are only slightly painful, but which sound like crackling embers when I go up a flight of stairs, and didn’t notice any effect. So, it may make your skin feel a bit smoother, and others may have some feedback as far as its benefits as an oral supplement, but for me, it didn’t really move the needle too much. Not a BAD product (other than that horrible dropper!), but nothing extra-special, either. Thanks for reading; I hope that my review helps you out!

A fantastic moisturizing oil for my damaged skin
Thanks to an injury, one leg gets terribly dry, scaly skin now, and I have to moisturize it fairly regularly. I thought this oil might be a good option. Turns out, I was right. First off, it has a very, very mild, inoffensive scent, a major plus as I don’t necessarily want lotions and oils with strong smells. But more importantly, it doesn’t leave me feeling sticky and gross, soaks in well, and moisturizes my skin very well. And best of all, my crappy skin gets a chance to heal and be less crappy. I’m very pleased with the outcome and will likely continue to use this for a long time to come.

Great for dry skin
I have been using this product on my cuticles and hands to combat the dryness in my skin, and the results have been remarkable. Despite not being one to regularly do my nails, I noticed dryness and cracking in some of my cuticles that regular lotion just couldn’t fix on its own. However, after incorporating this oil into my daily routine, my skin and cuticles have become noticeably softer and more moisturized. Just a small amount of this oil has made a significant difference that I can actually see and feel.

Helps me to sleep
I have found that taking 5 ml of this hemp oil about 30 minutes before bed really relaxes me and helps me to fall asleep rather quickly. I stay asleep as well, which is brilliant. I have used this hemp oil every night for about a week now and I love its effect on me. I sleep quite soundly and do not feel groggy when I awaken. It has a slight earthy flavor to it, but it is very mild. It almost takes just like a vegetable oil, so it is not unpleasant to take. The recommended dose is 5 ml, which means 5 dropperfuls or one teaspoon. Each bottle is 59 ml, so each one contains just shy of 12 servings. You get 3 bottles in this order, for a total of about 36 servings, so I would say that at this price it is an ok value. I would prefer to buy a more economical refill bottle once I already have the dropper bottle. That would mean less waste as well. All in all, I like how the product helps me to sleep better. I have had no adverse side effects from this oil, only the benefit of improved sleep.
