Along with being easier to move around the kitchen, your skillet is designed to respond to heat more quickly, allowing you to have more control, while still featuring the heat retention of cast iron cookware.

The very best cast iron skillet I’ve ever used
This is by far the best cast iron skillet available in my experience. I’ve used Lodge, Field, and Marquette Castings (oh, and a Finex I borrowed from a friend one time). This skillet is the absolute best of the bunch. It is the lightest, best design, non-stick right out of the box and performs the best. It has a wonderful factory seasoning and the best handle design in my opinion. It also cleans up the easiest of the group for me.If I could give it ten stars I would! Wish I’d purchased this skillet first.

Great skillet
I love this pan already. I have had it for only a few days, but I have used it multiple times. It has a super smooth finish. It is easy to clean. It stays hot. It heats evenly. I have fried vegetables, reheated leftovers, and made a roux. After I wash it with soapy water, I dry it, then wipe a light coat of oil on it.

Beautiful Cast Iron Pan
This is a beautiful pan. It’s lightweight compared to a standard cast iron skillet of this size. Lovely design on the bottom that makes me happy. Cooking performance is excellent. No issues with the factory seasoning. It’s an expensive pan, but it works well and makes me smile and think happy thoughts when I see it.

Gorgeous cast iron pan
What a beautiful pan. Love the embossing on the back. It’s light. It’s smooth. It’s really a perfect cast ironpan. Highly recommend.

The Cast Iron Skillet you should own!
Excellent cast iron skillet, and a promotion from the Lodge version. When I purchased this skillet I also bought Lancaster’s seasoning oil. Before using it I seasoned it 4 or 5 times in a 450 degree oven. After a few uses, I seasoned it several more times and it has now reached non-stick status. It’s an excellent skillet for getting the perfect sear on your steak before finishing it in the oven, and it is wonderful for making such things as caramelised onions, and just all-around a good skillet. I had trouble getting the Lodge to be nonstick because the surface is not polished smooth as with the Lancaster.

An Upgrade Worth the Money
Very happy with this pan so far. It heats up faster and more evenly than my Lodge pans. It’s much lighter than any cast iron I’ve used. The cooking surface is incredibly smooth. I’ve cooked steak, fish (no torn salmon skin!), veggies, and even eggs without any sticking woes. Some people have had issues seasoning the pan, but I’ve put a few layers of seasoning on it with no problems. If anything, I’ve found it easier to season than other pans. The factory seasoning came up way too easy (a steak pretty much stripped it down to metal), but the seasoning I put down myself is holding at least as well as it does on my Lodge.Overall, this pan is worth the extra money.

This is an excellent pan. It’s also very nice looking. It is smooth enough to use on our induction stove top.My wife says it is an awesome pan.

I have read a lot about steaks & how to cook them. Got really interested when I learned steak & chips is the number one lunch patrons ordered in Parisian cafes.Lancaster make one of the best cast iron pans on the planet, according to America’s Test Kitchen. ATK also mentioned a cast iron skillet is ideal for cooking steak. They were right. This particular skillet is the business.

Best iron pan I have used. It looks very nice and the smooth surface makes it very non-stick if you take care of the pan.

It’s a very pretty pan, lightweight and sturdy, the only drawback is it’s very very hard to season.. much harder than any cast iron pan I’ve ever had
