Cast Iron Collection

No. 10No. 10

Wooden Utensil Collection

Made in America: Cast, machined, and pre-seasoned in Pennsylvania. The Lancaster No. 10 is our “main course skillet” and is ready to use right out of the box. It has an 11-5/8 inch diameter and a depth of 2 1/8 inches.
Lighter weight: Weighing in around 6 lbs, we designed our cookware to be 1-2 lbs less than other modern-made cast iron cookware. The lower weight gives our skillet a more enjoyable cooking experience. Along with being easier to move around the kitchen, your skillet is designed to respond to heat more quickly, allowing you to have more control while still featuring the heat retention of cast iron cookware.
Heirloom Quality: Machined for a smooth surface and enjoyable cooking experience like Griswolds and Wagners of old. Lancaster skillets are made to be passed down from generation to generation.
Traditional Handle and Pour Spouts: Our handle is a classic design, being both ergonomic and easy to use. Pour spouts are a traditional aspect of American cast iron cookware and are essential for making and serving your favorite sauces.
Any Heat Source: Use on almost all heating sources including gas, glass-top, induction, electric, campfire, oven, or grill. Perfect for in the home, at the campground, or on the BBQ.
Helper Handle: The Lancaster No. 10 Skillet features a convenient helper handle that allows you to use the pan with ease.

If you want real quality look no more.
This is an outstanding piece of cast iron. Plenty big and strong. Searched high end low for a high quality skillet and the #10 fills the bill. Very smooth interior surface and comes pre-seasoned (twice) but I seasoned it 3 more times. Should last a lifetime and more. You won’t regret it. They told me they are working on a cast iron lid for the #10 as well.

    Lancaster Cast Iron #10 skillet
When I was looking at cast iron skillets, I chose this because of the size and it is made in America. I compared this to the Smithey skillets because both of them are super high quality skillets. However, I opted for the Lancaster because I think the shape is more to my liking. I’m still eyeballing the Smithey pans but I wanted to try this one to see how I liked it first. It is smoother than a baby’s bottom, and I went ahead and preseasoned it in the oven like I do all of my cast iron. That’s not necessary but that’s my thing.First cook was fried taters with extra fat so they wouldn’t stick and they didn’t. I could have used a little more fat in the skillet though.Second cook was more spuds and I added enough fat to the pan to “float” the spuds and my eyes rolled into the back of my head; they turned out excellent. The booklet that comes with it recommends frying bell peppers and onion as a first cook, I believe. I’m working up to a porterhouse but haven’t gotten there yet. I’d rather get a good base seasoning in the skillet before I go to searing meat in it.I have a number of carbon steel pans but I’ve cooked in cast iron for years and in my opinion cast iron is my preference over carbon steel. It seem to not be as finicky as the carbon steel pans. I am 100 percent satisfied with my new Lancaster number 10 and you won’t go wrong with any of their pans. One of the other things that’s so nice about the Lancaster is that the heat ring on the bottom is at the outside of the bottom of the pan, and it gives it a much more even heat than if it were set in just a bit. I haven’t experienced any hot spots in it and I’ve checked it with an infrared thermometer. It heats evenly so you get a much nicer cook. Hope this helps. Bon Apetite

    Beautiful heirloom cast iron skillet!
Beautiful cast iron skillet! Very well made with a very smooth surface. One of the main reasons why we bought this over Smithey or Finex is that its lighter than the other two, making it easier for both my wife and I to hold in one hand whilst cooking if needed. Made garlic butter steak bites as my first meal on this pan, and it turned out incredibly delicious! Next was fried eggs, and those were very good too; did not stick at all. I did use some more avocado oil and butter to fry the eggs. Very happy with this skillet!

    Good replacement for vintage Griswold.
I purchased this skillet to replace a beloved vintage Griswold #10 which suffered a fatal accident. I was very pleased with the Lancaster #10 skillet, as it arrived very well pre-seasoned and the surviving lid from my Griswold fits perfectly. I have used it about a dozen times on a variety of foods from salmon to eggs and bacon to grilled cheese and it performed just as well as my well-seasoned old Griswold. I would note that the Lancaster is slightly heavier (~1 lb.) than the Griswold and the Lancaster handle seems to get bit hotter. I plan to keep the Lancaster for a very long time and pass it on to my heirs.

    Love the skillet
I never heard of lancaster cast iron company before, I like the way they look. They look the same way as they did long time ago. I love the skillet it’s much lighter then my modern lodge and smooth. It heats up fast and hold it’s heat, but not good as lodge because lodge is heavier and thicker. Over all I love this skillet and will be using it more now over the lodge.
