Great mattress protector.
We were so impressed with the cover that came with our mattress that we decided to buy one as a spare for rotation. It’s super comfortable and works just like we expected. It fits snugly, so I don’t have to worry about loose fabric, and the sheets fit well over it. It’s a lovely creamy color and washes easily.

PERFECT MAT FOR NIGHT TIME TOILET LEARNING!
Worth every penny. This thin ORGANIC mattress cover is perfect for our toilet learning two year old. Instead of disposable pants that absorb everything, we use cotton underwear and this pad so that she can experience feeling wet and train herself to wake up or to hold it for the rest of the night. We wrap her twin size mattress in the ‘wet zone’ over her sheet for naps and night time. If she wets, we simply strip this layer and replace with another pad. It is completely waterproof and has NEVER let any liquid through. This saves on laundry by day and time in the middle of the night when we are all very tired. It is breathable and comfortable to lay on top of. Best of all, there is absolutely no odor. I ordered an incontinence pad and it smelled so strongly of nylon and plastic that I had an instant headache. I washed it several times and the smell remained, leaving me concerned to place this on my child’s bed. The Naturpedic Pad is odorless from the start– very safe for adults and children. Anyway, we have had one of these pads since my daughter was a newborn and it still looks like new. We now have 3 in rotation and I highly recommend this product as a safe mattress cover for young infant’s bed, for a play mat to allow babies to have time out of a diaper each day without worry of ‘spills’ on the floor, and then as a mattress protector during toilet learning. Spend the money, you will not regret it!

Amazing natural product
I would recommend this product to anyone who has a little one who wets the bed or has bloody nose accidents. My little guy has a bloody nose at night when the air is dry and this product has saved his mattress so many times. We are also starting to potty train so this product will come in handy. It is soft and comfortable and will not leak through. It’s light weight and not noisy like most products do! Highly recommend!

Great mattress protector
I’m really pleased with this mattress protector. Yes it takes a long time to dry but it doesn’t bother me. I set it to low heat for 50 minutes and it’s dry. What’s more important is that it works to prevent leaks from going to the mattress and that it doesn’t have chemicals that are harmful for my kids. The water barrier is a food grade type of plastic in between the layers of soft cotton. You cannot feel or hear the plastic. I have a chemical free non waterproof mattress (from Sleep Essentials) so it’s really important that I have a pad that works so the mattress doesn’t get soiled. I actually have the fitted one around the mattress and then the flat one on top of that. When I change the sheets, I just remove the sheet and the flat mattress pad. I have 2 of the flat pads so I can wash one and use one. I’ve never had a leak go to the second pad and we’ve had some big leaks.Yes Naturepedic mattress pads are larger than others that I’ve used. But it’s never caused a problem and actually I’m glad because sometimes we get a leak that goes all the way to the edge of the bed and some other covers I’ve had in past don’t protect the edges and they’ve leaked.Since I’m very happy with these pads, I recently ordered one for a twin bed that will also be for a non waterproof chemical free natural latex mattress from Sleep Essentials.

Best mattress protector EVER!
This has been such a lifesaver! We have 3 of them! One for our crib, one to go over a couch cushion, and a third one as a spare. It’s so durable and thick! Our baby has had accidents and blow outs and nothing gets through this pad, so we are able to keep her mattress fresh and clean! Complete lifesaver!

Best Flat Waterproof Crib Pad
My go to waterproof pad for lining the kids’ beds. I love it because it is breathable yet amazingly waterproof (trust me, it’s been tested many times at this point with two kids). Other waterproof pads have a thick rubberized bottom that is not breathable and therefore would make you sweaty overnight. I know this because I have used regular waterproof pads under myself when I was semi co-sleeping and it felt like there was a garbage bag under me. It is thin but pretty hefty and is made of thick organic (another plus) cotton canvas. So it does take a little longer to dry, but worth it since it made of organic cotton.The other nice feature is that because it is flat, I use this not only in the baby crib but also on twin beds. The pad obviously won’t cover the entire twin mattress, but it covers most of it. I first put a waterproof fitted mattress cover on, then this one on top, and then a fitted sheet. That way, if there’s an accident, I can quickly replace the flat sheet with another flat one and then have to deal with putting on just one fitted sheet rather than having to replace both the waterproof fitted cover and the fitted sheet. Going over the corners with a fitted anything on a top bunk bed is not fun!I gave it 4 stars however because it is pretty expensive and wish they did offer it in a twin size. Unfortunately, I feel really guilty about using those cheaper, sweat-inducing rubberized waterproof pads knowing how uncomfortable they made me feel so I ended up buying a few more of these ones so that I always have a backup one ready to go. They sell these at Buy Buy Baby too but I can never find them in stock in-store to use the 20% coupon (and not have to pay for online shipping which would negate the coupon). So my suggestion would be if you have an Amazon baby registry, put a few of these on there and then use the 10% fulfillment coupon after your shower is over (caveat: it’s been a few years since I did a baby registry so don’t know if Amazon is still offering the 10% discount).

After using this product for over a year I’ve come to the conclusion that I do not recommend it. It is not waterproof at all. Anytime there is a diaper leak or vomit you bet it has gone through this and into the mattress. It fits larger on the mattress but feels well made. I’m disappointed in the false advertising of being “waterproof”
