I will be honest with you here when I say that the only ones in this set that I really get any use out of are the largest ones. The other pans are just a little too small to find frequent usage. I would have taken a picture of the whole set but a family member washed them without telling me and now they’ve gotten fairly rusty. The largest pans (especially the square one) are extremely nice and I find myself using them quite often (or did anyway, I still have to fix and reseason them at time of writing.) My assessment of the set is that I’d rather have just gotten the two largest ones for a cheaper price since the smallest just aren’t big enough to feel useful. If you don’t mind the smaller sized ones then this set is fantastic (if a bit overpriced given the ~$50CAD rounded pricetag at time of ordering) but if they don’t feel particularly useful then I’d recommend looking at other products.

Naturally, as cast iron, they are not lightweight, making them better suited for longer stays or base camping. I wouldn’t consider hiking with the entire set, but I would be open to bringing the smallest one along.The pans appear to be of typical quality for cast iron, and they seem well made. I appreciate the sizing, as nothing is too big, and the addition of the square skillet is a great touch. Each pan comes with its own silicone handle cover, which is handy for camping because the handles can get extremely hot while over the fire.Like all cast iron cookware, these pans require some care while in use. Their longevity largely depends on how well you maintain their seasoning. I recommend doing a few extra seasonings yourself before attempting any cooking.Overall, for $50 for the entire set, I think this is a great price, and I would definitely recommend it to others.

I couldn’t be happier with the Yiyobeatfo cast iron skillet set. I hadn’t realized they supposedly come pre-seasoned—and they really didn’t look like they were—plus the instructions included with the purchase explained how to season the pans. I used the stovetop method (reapplying oil four times and letting the oil smoke each time for several minutes; this needs really good ventilation for health reasons and to avoid triggering the fire alarms) for two of them, and the oven method (two rounds at 400°F for one hour each) for the other two. Seasoning in the oven allows for more even heating and doesn’t require constant monitoring, but it does take longer. To wipe away the excess oil, paper towels aren’t ideal as they leave behind lint.All the skillets, regardless of seasoning method, excelled at cooking without the food burning or sticking. They literally performed on par with non-stick skillets, while also being a much healthier option. The pans are solidly made—heavy, durable, with spouts for pouring out excess oils and fats. They heat up evenly, and retain heat extremely well. The set also comes with silicone sleeves for safe handling, though unfortunately, all the sleeves are the same size regardless of the pan size.This set is a great buy, and unlike non-iron cookware, it won’t deteriorate over time. On the contrary, with proper care, these pans only get better as they age.
