These were a little smaller than I planned on using, but in hindsight they will be great for my cub scout whittling adventure.

Good quality block of wood
I use it mostly to level out the clamping area of a desk that has a lip so I can clamp mounts to it without the lip taking all the clamping force. For that it works great.

The wood blocks came in excellent shape, all of them were good to go as far as none having any rotten spots, knots, chips, holes, splinters, or other issues wood can have. All were uniform and perfect. Just what I needed.

For being inexpensive Basswood this works
This is an expensive Basswood is hard to find Basswood of this size in our area and it works amazingly if for some odd reason you find a hard piece spray some alcohol on it first then run it underneath of water for a second as the alcohol will cause the wood to accept some of the water this will make the wood softer but I didn’t feel the need to do any of that I have purchased this stuff more than once

Trash, don’t buy it.
I’ve had to throw away 4 pieces so far because it’s dry , and it chips easily even when using little pressure.

Sold as balsa wood, but it’s pine wood so very hard for carving so not suitable for the advertised purpose. Definitely not worth the cost!

Their description says bass wood but they have sent pine wood. They are charging 799 but the wood they sent is actually worth 50 rupees. I work with wood regularly so I know. Total rip off. False advertising and extremely over priced.
