“Click-Clack.” It’s the iconic sound of two Tegu Blocks coming together. Tegu has reinvented the wooden block in a way that brings new life to a favored classic. By safely embedding magnets into each piece, Tegu Blocks become curiously attractive for both kids and kids at heart. Defy gravity and push your imagination in ways never before possible. No instruction manuals or electronics; just toys that demand imagination and inspire limitless creativity across all ages. Open-ended play is endangered, but we’re bringing it back. Created with beautiful Honduran hardwoods and safe water-based finishes, these blocks have proven wildly addictive for kids (and kids at heart) and will encourage the simple joy of creating for generations. This set includes 24 blocks in six shapes: 4 Medium Columns, 4 Short Planks, 6 Long Planks, 4 Mega Planks, 4 Cubes and 2 Parallelograms. Tegu blocks come packaged in a beautifully designed box large and rigid enough to store the blocks for many years to come. Also, don’t miss out on some really fun factoids about the blocks and their origin on the inside of each package. Each set also includes The Tegu Story — a booklet containing various building ideas and information about Tegu’s social and environmental initiatives. There is something magical about watching a child’s imagination unfold. The curiosity. The ingenuity. The creativity. Even more exciting is creating a product that unlocks a child’s mind. We exist to create experiences that captivate children in safe, natural and innovative ways. At Tegu, this creativity also meets responsibility. Through socially responsible business practices and humanitarian efforts, we are dedicated to helping the Honduran community with reforestation, education and social outreach initiatives.

A fabulous product!
I purchased this for my twenty-month old granddaughter for Christmas, and I (and she) could not be any more in love with a toy.At first I hesitated to spend this much money for a set of blocks, but you know what they say about grandparents spoiling the grandchildren. She loves blocks of all kinds, and I thought the idea of the magnets sounded pretty neat. When I opened the shipping package, I was a little taken aback that I had spent this much money for such a small item. The blocks are in a solid box that is approximately 6x6x4.But it’s when the girl opened the box that the fun began. First of all, the blocks are lovely. They are beautifully finished in pastel colors. The finish is as smooth as a fine piece of furniture, and they click and slide easily. They attract each other, they repel each other, they can build fantastical objects or mundane objects. They can be tightly linked together to form solids, or they can be linked in other ways to make bridges, cages for little animals, and much more. Some of the best features:- A lovely “idea” booklet is included.- The magnets are so deeply embedded in the blocks that both my son and I spent time wondering “How do they do that?”- Toddlers love blocks, and they also love to knock block structures down; these blocks do not stray far from their brothers, so lost blocks may be a thing of the past.- The packaging is simple, but sturdy – very understated, rather than showy.- As an added plus, the company is devoted to sustainable business practices and the blocks are made in Honduras, where the employees are paid working wages, and much of the profit goes to reforestation (I may be overstating, but you get the idea).- The blocks will not get old; I envision adding to her set for many years to come.My advice: do not let the apparently dear price dissuade you; these blocks are worth every penny.

TEGU TEGU TEGU!
These blocks are amazing. Tegu is like the high end of magnetic blocks. There are other magnetic blocks on the market of course, just like there are many purses and shoes of all price points. However, these blocks are the top of the line. They do not disappoint and you can combine many sets to create one big collection for your kid(s). The colors are so aesthetically pleasing. They also make the kids think about which ends connect with which. Not all the blocks have a ton of magnets spread out through them, you have to look for the part that is magnetized and then figure out how to use it. I personally love these blocks and creating different shapes and structures with them.

Great Toy for All Ages
I bought these as a gift for my husband, along with a set of wheels (4) and the Tegu Jungle Pocket Pack. He and my 2-year old daughter love them. The blocks make a great executive toy, but are also great fun for a little kid. I would recommend buying some wheels, as they add a whole other dimension – not only can you make vehicles, but they also look like eyes for animals, or interesting robot parts. Structures can actually pivot at the magnetic joints, so we’ve had fun making robots with moving arms, and some rudimentary transformers.I can’t recommend this toy highly enough!

Great for small children
Really like that these blocks, although wood, have a softer feel for my two year old who loves building. The only thing I find to be a negative in watching him play and playing with him is the magnets could be stronger. They hold “just enough” to build with, but its not obvious when using them like other magnet building toys. Overall I’d buy them again.

Awesome Blocks – Encourages Self Play!
These are great magnet blocks and the best part is they encourage self play! We bought them for our 8 month old son who loved them right away. He figured out how to pull them apart and I would make a funny “oh” sound and he would laugh so hard. Now he loves to stick them to anything he can, especially the baby gate. He is not “building” anything with them yet but they are still providing great entertainment. And when my nephews, 3 and 4, come over they are obsessed with trying to build things with these. Great toy for your child and gift for a child ages 8 months – 5 years old. Maybe even older I just can’t attest to it 🙂

Very cool
I bought these for a gift in a store and after I saw the 3 year old play with them immediately ordered this set. Lots of options of what to make and the magnets hold the blocks together. Very fun!

Kids can spend hours
Definitely on the expensive side but my 16 month old loves playing with it. He spent hours on these blocks which is great because he normally doesn’t surge that much time on one thing. It’s a great toy that works the imagination.

Not worth price
Not worth the price at all. Pieces are small. They are not all magnets. My kid lost interest quickly.

Box was covered in dirt and had obviously been previously opened.Wooden blocks themselves are soiled and damaged – at least one has a peeling surface creating large dangerous splinters. Can’t be exchanged as only different colors of the same set available (which are listed on the identical product page)
