Simple, inexpensive, eco-friendly cleaning!
As a person with a disability – and now a shoulder injury to boot – cleaning has become a difficult task.“Get a floor cleaning robot,” many say. Well, I had one. They are expensive and fussy. They get stuck under furniture. They clog. Crawling around on the floor retrieving them is even worse for me!Even stick vacs and floor steamers are heavy and awkward to use when your good arm is occupied with a walker or cane. That discourages me from using them so I’m ashamed to say the floor could get pretty grotty before I was ready to tackle it.So the Swiffer is the best solution I have found. Lightweight, simple, nothing to break or clog. But the price of refills – both dry and wet – is ridiculous! And I don’t feel great about creating so much trash. I have tried tucking reusable microfiber washcloths into the corner “grabbers” but they didn’t do a great job and often came loose from the corners.These reusable mop pads overcome ALL those problems.They are elasticized so they go on easily and do not pull loose in use.The chenille “fingers” do a better job than microfiber.They can be used wet or dry, washed and re-used, for less than a single refill of the disposable pads. Fantastic value.I’m not locked into whatever cleaner the refills come soaked in, and that expands what I can clean with a Swiffer. If I want to dampen these with streak free cleaner or sprinkle on an abrasive cleaner, I can wash glass and scrub down the shower walls with a Swiffer.They do lack the scrubbing strip of the wet pads, but I think I will have less need of that because unlike the disposables, I can just keep a clean chenille pad on the Swiffer at the ready. If the spill never gets a chance to dry, it probably won’t need scrubbing.

Full Disclosure: I received this as part of the Amazon Vine program for review.I recently decided I need to “grow up” and be more consistent with my cleaning efforts at home… but the cost of stuff adds up really quick. I tried a regular mop and it’s just… those don’t clean.So I had a Swiffer sitting around and thought, “wish I could just wash the pads.”I saw this set and just immediately was like “THAT.” And I was right- this is a GREAT thing to get for general floor cleaning.I have tile and wood floors in my apartment and these pads work great PLUS they’re washable! They seem to hold up to cleaning solution well and have made it much easier to stay on top of cleaning my bathroom and kitchen floors. What I’ve been doing is mop the floors and work my way towards the bathrooms, then do the bathrooms and toss these in the tub and run water on them to get the dirt off them. Then toss them into the washing machine.Being an 8 pack makes that really convenient, too. Honestly this is a great deal!

Effective for cleaning but hard to get THEM clean after use
I love my Swiffer, primarily for the ease of capturing dust and dog hair and disposing of it. However, we tend to run out of the disposable pads right when we really need them, like when company is coming. These reusable pads work excellent for picking up that dust and hair and holding onto it. The only thing I don’t like is that it is difficult for me to get them really clean. They always come out of the wash with lint and hair still stuck to them. Oh, they are also good for surfaces that tend to snag swiffer pads, like slightly rough wooden edges.

Easy On Mop Covers That Actually Stay Put
This is a really nice set of flat mop covers and I’m very happy with them so far. The lime green color is bright and easy to spot, and they seem well made right out of the package. They do a solid job picking up dirt and grime and glide smoothly across the floor without bunching up or slipping around.One thing I really appreciate is the elastic edging. It makes putting them on and taking them off quick and painless, with no fighting velcro or worrying about worn-out strips losing their grip. They fit securely and stay in place while mopping, which makes the whole job easier.Being able to toss these into the washing machine is a big plus too. They clean up well and are ready to go again without any fuss. Overall, I like these much better than the velcro style mop pads I’ve used in the past and would highly recommend them.

These really aren’t the same item as shown in the ad. That one has very tight weave and the nubs are so close together you can’t see the fabric from which they come, even when you zoom in super tight. Here I can see between every one of them several feet away. See the 3rd pic, but it’s very easy to see in all of my pics. The channels between rows of yarn nubs is just as wide as the row of nubs sewn in. So half.

Super thick chenille replacement mop pads.
These are replacement mop heads that go on a Swifter comparable mop.The mop that you use this with should be 10”-12” in width. They are able to be used on wet or dry floors and are completely machine washable or you can wring them out in the sink. These are very fluffy and full. They slip on very easily with a very good elastic band that fits around your mop. When you’re ready to change the mop head it comes off easily even when it’s wet. These are great for washing hardwood floors and sealed marble which is what I am using them on. I’m very impressed with the quality of these pads and they are offered now with a coupon that makes them a fantastic price. I just checked and it’s still available. I don’t think you will get a better deal than this package.The value of these is very high because they are used on almost every floor surface . The price point is equally great and very low right now in lieu of an available coupon.
