You asked – we listened. The Lake Tahoe wool blanket comes in both King and Queen sizes. The QUEEN blanket measures 90″ X 96″ while the KING blanket measures 90″ x 108″. Spruce up any bedroom or use it to keep cozy while lounging on the couch, camping, or at a tailgate.
100% RECYCLED WOOL BLEND
90% of this blanket is recycled wool while the remainder of the blanket is composed of 10% hypoallergenic synthetic fibers for durability and washability. Wool is a naturally fire-retardant material. The blanket itself is not treated with any additional flame-retardant chemicals, making it safe for you and your family.

The QUEEN size Arcturus Lake Tahoe wool blanket weighs 7.5 lbs and the KING size blanket weighs 8.25 lbs with a density of 550 GSM (that means nice and thick). This blanket will keep you warm, period. Loom-woven and hemmed on all sides with matching stitching, our blanket will make you feel right at home, no matter where you are.
How to Maximize the Life of Your Wool Blanket:
Triple Washed During Production
Every Arcturus wool blanket is triple-washed during production so you can use it right out of the box. However, at some point you’ll probably want to wash it.
Use a Woolen Detergent
We recommend using a detergent formulated specifically for wool for best results. Like all loom-woven blankets, this blanket will shed during the first few washes.
Wash Separately in Cold Water
To maximize the life of your blanket (and to avoid unnecessary shedding), we recommend washing your blanket by hand in cold water.
You may also machine wash your blanket separately in cold water on a delicate cycle using a front load washer. Avoid top loaders with a center agitator as they can cause damage and will increase shedding.
Line Dry Only
To extend the life of your blanket, we recommend line drying only. Dryers are hard on clothes and blankets alike, and line drying is much gentler.

Wonderful blanket and very warm. Unlike BS fake fleece it is feels warm when you touch it and warms me up fairly fast. I haven’t noticed any off smells, It smell like wool. I work outside and wear lot of wool work clothing. So I know what wool smells like. This is nice and soft without the expected scratchyness that is often associated with wool. I learned a long time ago that wool threads that are made of short hairs tend to scratchy while those that are made of long hairs are soft. long hair wool is more expensive because it spends more time on the sheep. That is why those scratchy army blankets are so cheap. Of course the type wool makes a difference as well. But not as much as you think. For instance short hair merino wool is no where near as nice as long hair. Unfortunately it is difficult to tell one from the other with out holding it hand or reputation and or price. This is why wool hudson bay point blankets are so absurdly expensive.

Bought 2 in February for a “go” bag but it was so cold and snowy today in April I got one out and sandwiched it in-between my electric blanket and my outer quilt and wow, just night and day difference! Seems to help trap the work my electric blanket does and it’s (for me) the perfect weight.When they first arrived I felt so proud to own a WOOL blanket,. I ordered the navy blue and they’re very well made…that’s was my first impression, that I had purchased a quality product.The first thing I noticed after actually USING it was it’s very generously sized! We have a King size mattress and I bought Queen size blankets, so when I was going to put one on my bed this afternoon I figured oh well, at least it will cover MOST of the bed…but no, no, folks! It fits my King size bed! Mind you on one side there’s very little overhang, but that’s my husband’s side, and he won’t mind. I’m the one with the blanket fetish, ha ha. Anyway I am going to order a couple more now that I can see for myself the highest quality and value these blankets bring to the table, or the bed!We’re in Northern Arizona, and it’s actually snowing and hailing this 2nd day of April, but I have fibromyalgia and keeping warm is very important to manage my excruciating pain. Typically I have an electric blanket on at all times. I think in summer I MAY not need the electricity with this blanket, but if course I’ll have that option touseit with the electric blanket, if need be.We are also “preppers” as we have eyes and ears and can see what’s happening in the world, so we are always looking for quality products that DO NOT require electricity to be effective. The versatility of wool is unmatched for survival indoors or out. I can’t imagine anyone but the most nitpicking folk being disappointed with these beautiful blankies! They’re not scratchy in the least! If you have ever owned or touched a well-made wool coat, it’s every bit as smooth and sturdy as that. I can’t recommend them any higher.

Great Wool Blanket for the price
Nice Quality, perfect size for our queen size bed and best of all both my husband and I were nice and cozy. It’s the perfect weight…not to heavy. I’d give it 5 points but for the smell. Smells like wet wool and we’re hoping in time it will diminish.

This bed generously covers our king size bed. It is thin but the fibers are dense and it holds in heat well. Feels like wool. The color is true to photo (we purchased Navy).

I would have given this 5 stars because it is a nice blanket. I knew it would be thin. I did expect it to be heavy weight as described. It was not. I ordered a king size and received a queen size. The blanket is very warm. It’s not soft. Don’t expect it to be. It’s a wool blanket. It’s going to be scratchy. It’s meant for warmth. 🙂 I’d recommend and I would order again. Next time, I’d like to get what I order but I really have no complaints about the blanket.
