Odorless, Colorless, Mixes well
I had never heard of Bakuchiol, but after doing some research, I was interested in finding an alternative to retinol products. I dislike retinol because it makes my mature skin so dry, flaky, and uncomfortable.I’ve been using this for a week now—twice a day as directed, two (or three) drops mixed with my moisturizer. So far I have not experienced any adverse reactions, and I believe that after a week I would have noticed dryness or peeling.That’s the good news. The bad news is that it will take at least eight weeks of consistent use to see improvement in dark spots, texture, and fine lines. So far, I haven’t noticed any increased softness, plumpness, or dewy glow. I’m willing to wait and incorporate into my skincare routine. It’s a project—a marathon, not a sprint.I can say that the serum is odorless and colorless, with a slightly oily consistency. It mixes well with my moisturizer. It is also reasonably priced compared to others I have seen online.So far, I’m encouraged about the lack of irritation and hopeful about the long-term effects. I recommend this product if you’re interested in giving Bakuchiol a try.

Milder alternative to retinol
This Bakuchiol serum is a great alternative to retinol to reduce fine lines and add to your anti-aging skin care routine. I love that it is non-GMO and cruelty free. It has a high concentration and as such should be mixed with other skincare products such as your moisturizer or other serum. Skin felt smooth and looked radiant after each use. I love that it has no alcohol so it is not drying and is paraben free. This does a great job of boosting collagen to restore skin elasticity. It helps calm the skin so it’s great for those with acne prone skin. It’s great to use day or night. Just remember to mix it with your favorite moisturizer. It comes in a glass bottle with a dropper, which makes it easy to apply and keep it hygienic. It has a light and silky texture that is easy to spread around the face and absorbs nicely into the skin once mixed with your favorite moisturizer. Works great on its own or under makeup. Overall, a great value for those looking for a more mild and gentler retinol alternative that is effective at evening, skin tone, and reducing fine lines.

A Normal Feel So Far, but I’ll Keep Testing It
I ordered this serum concentrate in an oil format, which works as a retinol alternative. I liked the overall presentation; it comes with a lot number and expiration date, something that gives me a sense of product control and quality. It also says its concentration and that you should use two drops mixed into another product like face creams.I did a sensitivity test on my skin, and it felt like a normal product. I didn’t get any sign that it was a “concentrate,” since the scent, texture, and feel didn’t stand out the way concentrated products usually do. However, it didn’t cause redness, irritation, or itching. I already mixed it into the creams I use in my cleansing routine, and since I use other products too, I can’t say I notice any specific change yet. I’ll keep using it to see if it works overtime.

I like that this bakuchiol serum is concentrated and used as an additive. It gives me the flexibility to use any skincare product that I want and still receive the benefits of using bakuchiol by simply adding two drops into whatever I am using.This serum has a minimal ingredient list, and is unscented with an oily consistency. I mixed this with an everyday hyaluronic acid serum. These products mixed well and application was very nice. Bakuchiol is safe to use in the day time because unlike retinol, bakuchiol does not increase my skin’s sensitivity to UV rays. I had a scratch on my face, and this product did not cause any stinging, and it also did not irritate my eczema in any way. I did not experience any dryness, which is something that typically happens whenever I use retinol.The current price of $10 is an amazing deal, especially when considering I am only using two drops at a time. I feel safe using this product both morning and night.

My skin loves this
This serum is amazing! I’ve been using it for about 2 weeks and I can notice the dark spots are slowly fading and my skin tone looks more even. My skin feels a lot of softer. I had these red blotchy patches on my checks and some dark spots on my forehead, both are significantly lighter.The serum absorbs easily and is not sticky. I tried using this in the morning before applying makeup- not sure if it’s the serum or my makeup but no matter what I do this serum always pills. To avoid that I simply switched to using this at night and it’s prefect!The scent is light and not overly powerful. Overall, I would buy this again and find it very effective! Great value for what you get.

WELL LABELED
This serum arrived neatly placed in a labeled boxed that was shrink wrapped. The serum is contained in an amber glass bottle with a bulb syringe. The bottle is also labeled. The ingredients are butylane glycerol (moisture), methylpropanediol (synthetic solvent that enhances the penetration of active ingredients), and bakuchiol. It is a little sticky while applying but after about 5 minutes, it creates a dewy glow that is “firm” but moisturized. There is no scent present but it does work well with other moisturizers.
