Great brush for both me and my toddler
I wasn’t really sold on the board bristles at first, normally I just use regular plastic or whatever, but actually ever since using these I feel like I can’t go back. I feel like it keeps my hair from being frizzy and it keeps it more shiny. The brush itself isn’t as coarse as I thought it would be, it’s pretty soft actually. The brush itself is actually really well made and I especially love that it’s made of bamboo. I feel like it removes the tangles in my hair gently. I also used it on my 4-year-old and she didn’t scream as much as she normally does. I tried to use those brushes that are supposed to be for kids so that they don’t tangle as much. But actually this works a little bit better. I feel like it’s really worth it. Just for the cost for megan doing my daughter’s hair way easier like I would pay just for that alone. They’re just big and sturdy enough to tackle longer hair, but they still feel gentle on the scalp.They’re easy to use and really help distribute your natural oils from roots to ends, so my hair looks shinier and healthier without a ton of product.

great quality for the price
This is a sturdy well built brush. I got this for my girlfriend and the only criticism she has is the bristles seem to be too small for her thick hair. I think if they made those longer it would have been perfect. There was a square and oval shaped one when shipped and for the most part they remove tangles and knots. Fits well in your hand and is comfortable enough. I think for most people this would work perfectly and is a great value. If your hair is super thick like my girlfriend the one issue might be the want of longer bristles.

My New Favorite Brush!
The brushes have boar and platsic bristles which is perfect for my hair type. I have course, wavy hair that can get frizzy with the humidity. If I use hair cream and brush it through, my hair looks a lot smoother. It feels fanstastic on your scalp, it massages without pulling. They are great brushes! The My cat discoverred the other brush on the counter and was rubbing her face on it so she has claimed it. I brush her face and head and she purrs like crazy.I’ve tried brushes with just boar bristles and they sometimes don’t go through my hair easily. If I get a brush with only plastic bristles, they are too far apart to really smooth my hair. This brush is fantastic and gentle.The bristles were bent when the brush arrived but after 1-2 uses, they were perfectly fine, no issues here. One thing that might be nice is a tool to clean the brush.

Not What I Expected, But Better
I expected a traditional boars bristle brush for hair smoothing but these really don’t work for that. However, these still ended up being great for my 3A/3B mixed curls. There are the traditional boar bristles on the brush which helps tame and smooth but the brush also has longer plastic bulbed bristles that helps seperate and define my curls. The handle is super sturdy as well which is great considering I’ve broken a few plastic handles brushing out knots before.

Potentially great brushes but not all bristles are up to par
Good set of twin brushes with smooth bamboo handle. Lightweight yet sturdy. Comfortable to hold and maneuver. Detangles my thin hair with ease. The combo of boar and nylon bristles do a great job at smoothing my hair. Because I have very thin hair the bristles reach scalp very easily and if not gentle I can feel the ball point pins maybe just a tad too harsh but if Im gentle ontop and then glide through a litte stronger its perfect. However, the brushes arrived smashed into each other in a product box clearly not big enough for the two brushes. Both brushes had bent nylon bristles that try as I might are not straightening back up as normal. Some of the nylon bristles are missing while others have the bristles but the ball point pin is missing like if someone chewed it off. Perhaps this is why it feels a tad harsh on top of scalp since some protective pin heads are missing. I also noticed a couple of nylon stringy flyaways throughout the bristles. I want to love the brush but condition of bristles forces me to deduct 2 stars as both brushes had same issue. If bristles were not bent, chewed, or missing this would easily be a 5 star brush, especially considering you get two brushes. $16 for two good combo bristles bamboo brushes is a great deal.

I bought these to replace my worn out brush of a similar model…wooden handle, nylon bristles.I was impressed as soon as I opened the box. First, the brushes are beautiful and have a nice weight: durable but not too light as to struggle through your hair and not to heavy to make your arm tired when removing the tangles. I have long hair, so tangle removal with ease is very important. Secondly, the pins at COMPLETELY COATED in nylon! They are soft on the outside, but firm. No more catching my hard in those little plastic nubs at the end of the bristles…ouch! These 2 aspects make these brushes with it!Aside from this, you get 2 for a great price, definitely a great value for the money. These will last a long time and I certainly recommend them!

Great brush set—but not all boar bristles
I grew up using boar bristle brushes so I was excited to order these oval boar bristled brushes. Upon receipt I realized that in addition to boar bristles, the brushes include some nylon bristles. I was initially disappointed in that, but after using one of the brushes, I was well satisfied. To my surprise, the nylon bristles do not pull my very curly hair. This brush has worked well for me. The size is perfect for my petite hands and it is comfortable to use. The bristles work well at massaging my scalp and help smooth the sides of my hair when I brush it into a chignon or pony tail. While I highly recommend this brush, I took a star off because when I ordered this brush there was no indication that this style brush had nylon bristles too. The advertisement should be revised accordingly.
