Great deal! Water tastes great.
Easy to assemble. I’m happy with this purchase and think it was a great deal. My water tastes so much better than before with my water pitcher filter system. Works great in my kitchen. Seem sturdy and made well. I have had no problems with leaking on my countertop.

Very much worth the money
I’d been wanting one of these water filter systems for years but didn’t want to pay the crazy high price for one. When I found this one at so low a price, I was surprised and pleased. I have been using it for a few weeks now and am VERY happy with it! Works like a charm and the water has a clean, smooth taste to it. I’m only using one filter(it came with two) and it works just fine. If I’m not mistaken, one filter lasts for 3,000 gallons. This has a two gallon container, so it lasts me a few days, so I’m always stocked up. I LOVE it!

Malfunctioning/broken filters
I first off want to share that this product is offered at a low price in comparison to the Berkey water filter systems. I initially got it to use within our growing home, and after receiving the product (which has little instructions for using the filters), I was disappointed that the system was filtering water at about a drop per second. I have experience with the Berkey system and am aware of how to properly flush/”prime” the filters, but after multiple attempts at priming them, they still did not filter quicker than a drop a second. Unfortunately that is entirely too slow for me, leading me to believe that the filters that I received are not good. I ended up purchasing different filters from another company, and they worked just fine with the system. At this point, I have two filters that I believe are defective, and I am not sure if this is an issue with all of the products, or I received broken parts. I would appreciate assistance from the support team to help me troubleshoot the issue, as it is unfortunate that I now have two filters that may be useless.Outside of the issue with the filters, I appreciate that the whole system was easy to put together and feels stable and high quality – especially for the price. I would recommend that future purchasers consider that they may need to purchase backup filters in case the ones that come with the original product do not work.

Good filter and cheaper than brand name
This works fine and is as described. The brand name black filters fit as they should. And, it’s far cheaper than the brand name one. So overall great! I took off one star just because the the overall construction doesn’t seem as “tight” as the brand name filter, i.e., the top chamber of the housing fits just a tiny bit loosely into the bottom chamber. This likely is meaningless if you’re using for home purposes, so definitely save money and go with this one in that case. However, I bought this for a camper van and that tiny, tiny bit of looseness results in a tiny rattle which can be annoying over a long day of travel.

The best
I LOVE this water filter and recommend it too all of my friends n family. I use the crap out of it everyday and the water tastes amazing (make sure to run it/filter it through a couple times before drinking it)

Terrible product.
Complete piece of junk. It leaks, a lot. Water was coming from inside the UV unit attached to the outside. The bag of “parts” has absolutely nothing to do with the unit itself. Like they came from a different item completely. The “UV” unit does not come with a power cord and does not have a timer or even an ON/OFF switch. Per the instructions: Every two hours plug the UV unit in for recommended 5 minutes, then unplug. The instructions are terrible. Whatever translating they used into English is crazy. Which is made even worse, because the parts needed to assemble the unit don’t actually fit the unit.Sample: To wash the filter for first time use, you must remove the wingnut, then place the wingnut back onto filter, but upside down. Once washed, replace wingnut back rightside up. I would have taken pics of it all if it wasn’t already packed back up into the box.

Filters the water very well.
We use this in our vacation home where the tap water tastes terrible. Running it thru this filter works great. We use it for coffee and everything else. The charcoal filter has lasted 6 months so far with no taste difference. It is easy to fill, you just open the top and pour in tap water.

This countertop water filtration system delivers clean and great-tasting water, all while being easy to use and maintain. The gravity-fed design means no electricity or plumbing is required, which makes it perfect for emergencies, camping, or off-grid use as well. It has a 2.25-gallon capacity tank and is constructed from high-quality 304 stainless steel. It feels sturdy and looks sleek on my kitchen counter. The assembly was straightforward, with clear instructions included. Attaching the two carbon filters took less than 20 minutes, and all necessary tools were provided. The water filter system also comes with a convenient water spigot that allows for easy dispensing of purified water, making it convenient for everyday use. The dual carbon filters of this system are NSF/ANSI 42 certified. I noticed an immediate improvement in the taste and clarity of our tap water. The filters effectively remove chlorine, odours, and sediment, leaving the water crisp and clean. The filters need to be rinsed first by filling and draining the tank 4-5 times for best results. The filtered water quality is much better, and when I tested it, I saw a huge reduction in the total organic carbon content of the water. Note that this system does not reduce the TDS of the water, but it is useful for reducing the sediments and chlorine from tap water. The filter is also not designed for microbiological contaminants however, it is perfect for everyday use in urban settings where the main concerns are chemicals, sediment, and taste. Overall, this is a well-built, easy-to-use, gravity-fed water filtration system that is convenient and perfect for everyday use.

I really like my Berkey water gravity filter system, but I have lost confidence in the Berkey branded filters. Not only are they very expensive, but independent testing showed that their advertised lab results were falsified. I don’t know if this was intentional or accidental, but nonetheless the results made me question sticking with my Berkey system. I researched several Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems but was not impressed with the water taste, especially those that use a bladder in the reservoir, nor the amount of water wasted on back-flushing. Plus, with many on-demand RO systems requiring power (those that avoid the using a bladder reservoir), I didn’t like how I couldn’t get a glass of water during a power outage. I decided to stick with my Berkey gravity filtration system but look for non-Berkey branded filters instead. The first eye-opening realization was how 3rd-party gravity filters are less than half the price of OEM Berkey branded filters. One might think that the extra price for Berkey filters is because of their higher quality materials, but this is not the case. They are simply charging more for their own branded filters, similar to how printer manufacturers inflate prices for the OEM inkjet replacement cartridges. When comparing the materials and quality of 3rd-party replacement filters, they are often equivalent, or even better, than the OEM Berkey filters, so why pay more?Although the filters are rated for upwards of 6000 gallons of water, and upwards of 5 years, I’ve found that it is better to replace them more often than that because they can accumulate some slime after about 1 year. Although it is a good idea to scrub them periodically with a scrubbing pad to keep the filters clean, my preference is to replace the filters a bit more frequently to ensure optimal water quality. Being able to buy good quality 3rd-party filters at a better price than OEM filters makes it justifiable to replace them more frequently.
