SUPERIOR QUALITY TOY
This toy is superior in every way. It’s made by an old established company that takes great pride in the way they work with wood, and if you love things made well with good wood, you are sure to gasp with pleasure when you open the box.Each piece is gorgeously finished with color and a super slick translucent clear coat that makes the pieces feel like soft silk between your fingertips. All the edges and corners are smooth with no jags. The colors are rich and simple, and sure to appeal to all ages.The cards suggesting the configurations are star-coded for easier and more complex tasks. The pieces handle easily. You may wish to use a non-slip mat beneath the pieces for easier assembly, and of course, if young children are using these, always supervise them.The only tiny thing to note is that the yellow, orange, and red colors can be somewhat confusing when looking at the cards and the pieces. What may look orange on the card might actually be yellow in the design. The color matching is ever so slightly difficult. However, once you get used to this quirk, it becomes very easy to work around and it isn’t a dealbreaker no matter what. This set is GREAT and I would highly recommend it. It would make a great gift and is even enjoyable for adults. We’re leaving ours out in a bowl on the coffee table along with the cards – it becomes a fun activity for guests of all ages.

A pretty spectacular set with some flaws
I like these blocks, but since they are so pricey, I had very high expectations, and they weren’t all met.This is a great design set, and it can be enjoyed by kids and adults, but if you are are trying to use it with the enclosed cards, the colors don’t quite match. The cards show four different color small triangle pieces—orange, yellow, red and purple. In fact you can see in my photo, that actual blocks are light orange, orange, red and slightly darker red. In addition, I only realized after trying another pattern that the 8 blue trapezoid pieces are four of two different very similar shades of blue on both the pattern cards and the block set. They really need to up their game on block and ink colors.In my second photo, you can see that one of the pieces is misshapen. Since each block works out to be over $1 a piece, I definitely expect the pieces to be well-made. Since this set had a misshapen one, I was disappointed.So this is a wonderful set, but It’s flaws drop my rating by at least one star to what I feel is a generous four star rating.

Top quality puzzle blocks, made in Germany.
These puzzle blocks from HABA are made in Germany, which I appreciate because I prefer to buy European or USA made items due to the generally higher quality and the more stringent safety, sustainability and environmental regulations compared to China where most toys are made these days.There are 10 cards included with pattern ideas, one on each side for a total of 20 suggestions. My kids had fun following the pattern guides at first and then enjoyed being creative and coming up with their own patterns. With 48 blocks, the possibilities are pretty much endless.The blocks are very well made, with smooth edges and no sharp corners or splinters. The colors are vibrant and have a nice glossy finish.Some of the colors are quite similar, especially the two blues and the two reds, but I see this as an opportunity to teach visual recognition skills by closely comparing the pieces.HABA makes top quality products and this block set is no exception. The price of this set is fair considering the high quality of the blocks. It’s good for a wide age range; my kids are 6 and 9 and enjoy playing with these. Highly recommended!

Fun but not much color contrast in reds
So this is a fun little puzzle/play thing for kids of all ages. I make Quilts, so I thought this will be especially fun to have around the house. I’m a tad disappointed in the color contrast between two of the Reds. The photos I took for this review actually enhance the difference between the reds – it’s more difficult to see in real life. I don’t know that a child could distinguish that the two reds are any different in color. Perhaps I’m just being picky because I make quilts this is kind of my only area of expertise. Anyhow, there’s a rainbow of colors out there and I wish they had picked something different than two shades of red that are just a hair apart on the color wheel. I also wish there was a wooden frame that they sat in because as you build the images from the little cards that are I enclosed, the pieces tend to slide apart. If you have dexterity issues, it might be tough to make a little images. If you just wanna play with colorful blocks, then these are perfect. All the wood is very smooth and paint is quite sick and looks like it will last forever.

I love this set! It is an endlessly creative toy that isn’t just for kids. Any puzzle person, quilter, creative artist, right brain, left brain, you name it will enjoy this set. This reminds me of the toys my scientist grandmother would have all the grand kids play with and we never were bored. It was thinking out of the box to figure out different patterns that kept us interested. This is no different and will amuse everyone of all ages. It’s a great stress reliever because there is no other distraction while playing with it. The quality is fabulous as with most German toys and puzzles. All pieces are completely finished with no raw edges or rough edges. I will be buying more of the products from HABA. These make great gifts for all ages. Get one and leave it on the coffee table for any and all to play with. It is too tempting not to play!

Ich finde dieses Würfelmosaik super, und versuche selbst gerne die Formen nachzubilden.Für meinen 3,5 jährigen ist es noch etwas schwierig und alleine damit spielen mag er gar nicht.Aber ich denke das kommt noch.
