Ageless and Iconic
This is my second Kent brush. The first one I purchased for an an outrageous price, at the time, at a drug store at Carmel by the sea in California. That was around 15 years ago. At the time, I disposed all my other brushes. Friends were confounded with my actions. My response always was, buy one and you’ll understand why. And…don’t buy a cheap imitation, which some did, much to their disappointment. No pulling gobs of hair out, gentle scalp stimulation, what more could one ask for?

I recently replaced all my hair brushes and stumbled across tek brushes similar to this. After watching youtube videos i decided this type of brush would be an upgrade to my revlon plastic brush used for detangling. I had no idea i needed a wood bristle brush! Kent makes amazing brushes so i was happy to see they offered a wooden one. Feels amazing on my scalp and is healthier for my hair than plastic bristles. You need this!

The most agonizing brush I’ve ever used
I kind of feel awful moaning about a Kent product, but I was in pain using the Woodyhog hairbrush. Terrible pain. The wood pins are fine, but the rubber backing literally grabs the hair without mercy, and as you pass the brush through, it will tear your hair out by the roots. I am not exaggerating! By the roots. I’ve never used a rubber-backed brush that grabbed hair so hard and tore it out like this.Kent advertises this brush as being good for curly hair, but unless your hair is very short, you’re asking for trouble.If you have full, very curly/frizzy hair, I would suggest either a large “pick” or a de-tangling comb, with very wide teeth, or just use your fingers. (Personally, I use a de-tangling comb with damp hair and I use Kent’s boar bristle brush with it dry when my intent is to make a fashionable mess.)

It’s comfortable to use a bit long hair
It’s very comfortable to use every day for brushing my hair, especially after shower. It is small so I can take it with me when I travel.

Great small size, nice long prongs
Overall a nice little brush with long prongs to get through thick hair.Downside, the base of the brush where the prongs are attached would come out from the handle of the brush each time i used it, so I had to get out the super glue and glue the base onto the wood to prevent this from happening. So I was a bit disappointed as I have never had a high end brush come apart out of the box. Fingers crossed this fixed the issue for years to come.

It doesn’t pull my hair besides being softer on my scalp and hair.
I have very fine hair that falls easily so I need to treat it well, this brush doesn’t pull on it and it doesn’t fall anymore.

Love using this brush on my long hair. I enjoy the natural feel of the wooden handle, the spikes are comfortable but perfectly adequate to de-tangle long hair, whether using wet or dry.The size is smallish, but not too small. Easily fit into a reasonable size day bag, but perfect for use at home too. I bought one, then soon replaced another brush with a second purchase.Recommend

I have been searching for a good hair brush for all my life. When I was a child, over 70 years ago, always with very long hair, the health of my hair was dependent on daily brushing – at least 100 strokes, but usually closer to 300 USING AN EXCELLENT HAIRBRUSH. As such is hard to find I have spent my life using bad brushes until my husband noticed these on AMZ and they spoke to me. So I bought two different brushes – this one and a bristle one and have been brushing at least 100 strokes for the past few days and my long hair looks shiny, bright, smiling, happy and hair loss is suddenly less. TY TY TYUPDATE: After months of alternating this brush between two others, the rubber has released from the wood because the glue-job was inadequate. Very sad as it now goes in the garbage even though all the bristles are still good and it dis an excellent job. I will NOT buy another out of principle. Same thing happened with my husband’s identical brush.
