The brush has an engraved image of the butterfly – a symbol of the gentle and transforming powers of nature.
The bristles are made of pure wood pins, securely fastened into a soft rubber cushion set in a handle made of oiled pear wood. The rounded wood pins gently massage the scalp and improve circulation, while distributing natural oils throughout the hair. The wood pins come from the Hornbeam tree, which is grown in the forests of Italy and Poland. This particular wood is so hard and strong, it is also known as Ironwood. Wood is naturally anti-static and will calm fly away hair. Wood does not conduct heat, so the brush will remain cool if used during blow drying.

The handle is made from Pear wood, which is grown locally in Germany. It is then carefully milled, shaped, and finished to perfection by expert craftsmen. Pear wood is naturally dark in color and has a very fine grain.

LOVE IT! Great natural hair care option
Was excellently surprised by the quality. I’ve been getting into natural hair care and read about the benefits of wooden hair tools. This seemed to be the best and most beautiful I could find. I also ordered a boar bristle brush from them I am excited to try. The brush feels amazing, my scalp feels stimulated and I can DEFINATELY tell a static difference when comparing with a plastic brush. I brushed with this one on one side and did plastic on the other and saw instant frizz on the plastic side but none on the wooden side. I’m very happy and I think this is well worth the money. It is also incredible beautiful.

Quality Brush
I give this brush five stars for the obvious quality of it–it’s very well-made, the wood is super smooth and light-weight, and the bristles are very comfortable on the scalp. It smooths tangles very well, without undue pulling. It took my hand a bit to get used the the thinness of the handle (as other reviewers also mentioned), and how light the brush is. The more I use it, the more I love it. And of course, the butterfly is very beautiful too!

Beautiful & High Quality
I got this brush a few days ago and have used it several times, and it is already my favorite brush I’ve ever owned. The bristles gently massage my scalp and make it so enjoyable to brush my hair. I have a super thick head of almost waist length loosely wavy hair, and this brush makes it feel so soft and easily managed. It makes brushing my hair feel luxurious, and I love it. The quality of craftsmanship is wonderful. The wood is super smooth, the butterfly on the back is beautiful, and the cushion and bristles are perfectly pliant. It comes with care instructions for cleaning it. While I believe this brush will last me a very long time, I plan on buying a couple more soon to tuck away for future use, should I become unfortunate enough to need a replacement sometime down the line. This is it. I’ve found my perfect brush.:)Also, some negative reviews mention a missing bristle. There is a hole in the cushion for air. It’s not a hole from a missing bristle. Every paddle style brush has to have an air hole in order to function properly.

I love everything about this hairbrush! Works equally well on my thick graying frizzy hair and on my 3 year old granddaughter’s fine curly locks. No static! Beautiful look and feel. (My granddaughter would like one with a princess design if anyone is reading this.)

Buy it! Best wooden brush ever
I wanted a wooden brush to help distribute the natural hair oils. This was perfect! The bristles are natural and not coated in anything and they are thin and flexible but not brittle. It actually helps detangle my hair. Other brushes are too rigid and break my hair

Short Life Span? You Tell Me.
I bought this brush in 2022, and in mid 2025 the peg bristles began falling back through the rubber floor, which was becoming increasingly soft and sort of disintegrated. I don’t know what the normal life span of a brush like this is, and I was sorry to see it break down. I bought another brand to replace it and we’ll see how long it lasts. I really love the idea of the wooden brush with wooden peg bristles, and I did use it every single day on my fine, slightly wavy hair, and loved it. It didn’t scratch my scalp or tear my hair.
