Best prefold diapers!
These prefold diapers are so great! I just had a baby almost 2 months ago. While I do use cloth diapers, I prefer pockets so I rarely use prefold diapers as actual diapers. I normally like to use prefolds as burp cloths, as my babies tend to spit up a good bit. I’ve always bought the cheap prefolds at the local department/discount stores for my previous babies but I decided to try some nicer ones this time around. And while shopping around for some I found this set that is actually not any more expensive than the ones I’ve had before. I went with the preemie size because standard size prefolds are a little big for how I was wanting to use them. I also liked the fact that these are unbleached cotton, which is better for my baby and better for the environment. I can’t say enough how much I love these…I was so impressed with them as soon as I started using them. They are very absorbent, soft enough to wipe my baby’s mouth without discomfort, and super quality…I’ve washed them many times with no visible wear. I kind of wish I liked using prefolds for diapering because I would love to use something like this to diaper my baby. I like them enough that I rarely even touch the pretty decorative burp cloths that I received as gifts because these just work so much better to clean up baby messes. I highly recommend these for burp cloths or for diapering.

Go For It!!!
My all time fav cloth diaper! I’ve officially had four babies in cloth. I admit I was at times a little cloth diaper obsessed! It happens to the best of us! Lol. I’ve tried every “style” of cloth diaper on the market( style not brand that is impossible!) I’m not exactly sure why but prefolds never had any appeal to me. Well, I didn’t know what I was missing! I’m a prefold convert now and will never go back to any other style diaper. I have oso cozys size premium that I’ve been using on my last baby since he was about 6 months old. He’s still wearing them now at 17mths and will continue in them until potty time. I also bought a dozen of the brown edge “green mountain prefolds”. They are almost identical in size and function and look exactly the same to me. The brown edge “greenmountain prefolds” are maybe 2 inches wider and 1 1/2 inch shorter. I honestly have no preference when I grab a dipe. The extra width may be helpful if you have a chubbier baby but mine babies have always been average weight & height. Not skinny not chubby. I use them with a set of boingo diaper fasteners. They are the best way to go in my opinion. I’ve had one set if boingos since birth and they are still going strong. I just ordered a new set for our new baby that should be born anyday now. I also ordered the size 1 oso cozy prefolds to start her in. As far as covers go, thirsties are awesome but I love wool the best. If you have a Daddy that changes diapers for you this system may be more challenging for him. Maybe just let Daddy trifold the prefold laying it flat in the diaper cover. I’d go with a nice Daddy friendly cover with snaps or Velcro closure like a Thirsties cover. Or what I’m doing this time around is keeping a stash of throw away dipes available for Daddy diaper changes or when the grandparents visit and want to change a diaper. I’ve given up on being a ” cloth diapering purist” at this point in the game. I do use throw aways for night and going out. So all in all, if your considering prefolds, I say Go for it! You won’t be sorry!CheapKeeps in all poo ( when folded around baby and using a diaper fastener). No poo will even get on your covers with this method.Super simple to launderThey are more absorbant than anything else I’ve tried! When used with wool cover, very natural breathable optionWhen used with Thirsties cover, convenient & easy

Soft, easy to wash. Will have a life after diapering.
These are really good to use as inserts in pocket diapers but too small to fit my 22lb toddler as a diaper. I got them to use as inserts so that is fine with me. I washed them 3 times before use and that seemed to be enough to avoid any leaks. They hold as much as the microfiber inserts (I tested this with water) but they do get heavier than the microfiber. We are in the potty awareness stage of potty training so I wanted something that felt wet and these feel more wet than the microfiber. They wash well and I have had no issues with stains. I do put them in the dryer because they take a while to air dry. They will get additional use as seat covers during the training pants stage to help absorb the inevitable accidents.
