Doesnt work like the original
I like it but it doesnt work as well as my homemade deodorant. I used this deodorant for years from the original company and it worked great. I only had to use it once every two-three days, never any odor. Not sure if the formula changed but I will not purchase again.

Big fan. I was having some pretty bad stain issues (gray!) and replaced my old deodorant with PPP. About 2 months now. It works great, smells nice. I don’t really know how to characterize the Royal & Rogue aroma but I’m a guy and I like it. It’s also so mild that it’s hard to notice shortly after putting it on. I’ve recommended it to others. It’ll end up costing quite a bit more than my old deodorant but I’m not going to have to replace any more shirts because of staining. Pretty confident it’s a net savings.Update: Still happy with this but I’ve had a couple of jars now where the texture of the past is quite grainy. It’s not a deal breaker but is a little uncomfortable. Not sure if this is a quality control issue or something that happens in transit (temperature related maybe).

Better Choice
I’ve used natural deodorant for many years but wanted to find a new product, I did some research and landed on Primal Pit Paste and Schmidt’s in the jar form (I have read that cuts down on grittiness and irritation from application) I wanted to try them both out at the same time so I used each product under one arm. Both apply well, Primal Pit Paste comes with a little wooden Popsicle stick (very cute) and Schmidt’s has a spatula included to help remove product from the jar, you just scrape out a little , warm and apply it with your fingers, not too hard, but a bit messy.For wearability, I found that Primal Pit Paste worked a little better, it my armpit was dry pretty much all day, no lingering moisture, the scent I chose is very earthy, you can’t smell it throughout the day. It also caused no irritation or itchiness. Schmidt’s has been reported to potentially cause irritation, which I found it did a bit, it was slightly irritated and itchy towards the end of the day. I play to give each deodorant a week to see which I like best. But so far I’m liking Primal Pit Paste the best, I’d like to try it in a few different scents, I think Royal and Rogue is a bit more masculine than I would prefer.

Works well but I miss the jasmine!
I just tried this new rebrand (from Pretty Frank back to Pit Paste) and I’m happy to say it works well for me. I’ve been applying it twice a day but it has also lasted me 24 hours without smelling (if I’m not active). It’s a little crumbly but I just warm it longer between my fingers.However, way back in 2017, I was OBSESSED with pit paste. I think that was the original formula and it was VERY effective (even just the regular strength). The “jacked up jasmine” smelled incredible and I loved it. When it rebranded to Pretty Frank, the efficacy was not the same and I got stinky quickly. I so wish they’d go back to the original pit paste. However, as a cosmetics enthusiast, I’ve recently learned that even a single ingredient *source* changing can change up an entire product, even if the formula is identical, so maybe they had no choice if their suppliers changed. Who knows? I’m just guessing. For now I’ll repurchase this extra strength unscented, which is effective for me. Maybe they’ll at least offer the jasmine in the future. 🙏

I was worried it was going to be fake pit paste bc of some of the reviews. I usually buy directly from pit pastes website. I assure u it is real. I’m a guy so I love this sent and I prefer the jars to the sticks. Once u detox your pits this stuff is amazing. They use less baking soda compared to another big name brand so I don’t break out in a rash. I’m a firefighter/emt and I don’t smell after a 24 even when we are busy.

Doesn’t work
I used to use the Pretty Frank unscented in a jar and loved it. I could put it on after my shower and not have to use any more til my next shower. No worries whatsoever no matter how much I sweat. Sadly, they discontinued it. When I found this, I was excited, hoping it would be the same. It is not even comparable. With this stuff, I put it on after my shower (applying generously), and I end up stinking by afternoon. Very embarrassing when I can smell myself every time I move. Needless to say, I will not be purchasing any more of this. Sure would love it if someone would bring the PF unscented back!
