They keep things fresh and dry. They are like 50mil thick.
These bags are great. I use them for camping and backpacking. You bring food in them. And take leftovers home in them. They keep stuff absolutely dry in an ice bath in a cooler. If you done get all the air out they can take up some room depending on which size your using. Going with lunch meat for the day….keeps it dry and fresh. Fruits you just throw in the bag. Grapes are our favorite hike snack. Water and you get to chew something while your hiking. I used them for a 10 day cross country camping trip and I had no worries. Make sure its closed all the way like a zipper bag then slide the closures piece over the top.
