High Quality Construction / Fast Filtering/ Great Taste!
After more research that I’d like to admit to, I ordered this water filter unit based on several factors. First of all, carbon filters appear to only be made by a few vendors, so what makes one gravity fed filter different from all the others? I searched for the answer.Being in the manufacturing industry for 15 years,I have learned first hand how we sometimes pay more, depending on name printed on the package. Same exact product, different package. I see it with my own eyes, I help them build the lines. This is why I buy bread at the $ store.Secondly this product has great reviews. The unit is also made of medical grade glass which was better for me as I represent a company that manufactures plastic and stainless steel products for the food industry. In light of the challenges of sourcing “clean” stainless steel and plastics I’m going with glass here. The main reason this is storage aspect. This is not just a quick contact with metal here and there. It could sit there for days. (Metallic taste) On a lighter note, my family has cooked habanero peppers in a metal pot, washed it, dried it and put it away, only to set everyone’s mouth on fire when the same pot was used days later to whip up some Mac & Cheese for the kiddos. ..Or dealing with those annoying chili or spaghetti stains in every white and clear plastic bowl I have ever owned. Porus surfaces tend to do that.They can retain flavors and stains.My glass bowl/glasses don’t have this issue.With this unit there’s no need to buy a $50 sight glass to avoid getting grabbing a flashlight and climbing high up on a step ladder to look down into your dark stainless gravity fed unit need to be refilled or needs cleaning. Also no need to spend roughly $80 on (1) Berkey black carbon filter, WaterMachine gives you (2) for about $80 ..same filter.Also no “out of stock” message when you go to order filters (on owners website)Big selling point for me!Also, I had read reviews of Berkeys having some rubber or metallic tastes if the water sat a while before use. This units water tastes great and “feels” noticeably smooth. It’s odd. Great tasting water, with added artificial colors or flavors. My city water authority seems to change flavors. Mudpuddle, pond water, and community pool are the go-to flavs these days. Gone now.As far as speed. The unit seems to filter a batch of water in about 45 minutes to an hour. Surprisingly fast! The unit cranks out a good portion of that in first 15-20 minutes or so.Since the unit is gravity fed, the process is pretty quick at the beginning with a full upper chamber of water, but tapers off a little on maybe that last 15-20% as the upper chamber empty’s, lowering the volume/pressure to move water through the carbon filter. Makes sense. By that point, I’ve got over 2 gallons ready to go so that’s cool.My wife also loved the output from the heavy duty spigot. It comes out like a fire hose! Great for filling pots to cook with.On assembly, just make sure to wash the unit in a sink with something soft like a folded bath towel to rest the unit on. With soap and water, this unit can be as slick as a used car salesman at the end of the month. Be careful. :-)My wife and I have enjoyed the unit. Fair price, excellent quality, quick shipping, great customer service. So much so, I decide to call the company with good feedback. I know i love these calls regarding my product at my company.I called and the David the owner answered.I just shared how much we loved the unit and wanted to personally thank him. He was cordial and easy to talk to. Super cool guy, enjoyed our conversation.In my humble opinion, The Water Machine water filter is a high quality American product. My opinion may be lengthy, but as an amateur writer, it’s a struggle to explain anything from 30,000 feet.In a perfect world we want a FAIR PRICE, GREAT QUALIY, SHORT LEAD-TIMES, and GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE..….You may only get one, ….or if things are going your way, two….if the stars align 3but rarely, these day especially, do you get all 4.With Water Machine, I believe I did.I hope this helps! 🙂

Amazing and so brilliant
We received the water machine and I’ve been using it ever since. We feel better and we look better. We can taste a difference in the water and smell a difference in the water that comes out the machine versus the tapwater. The durability and longevity of this machine are amazing. It’s clean and sleak design will fit any room, it is reasonably priced and we have begun buying them as gifts for Our family members. Since we’ve had it, I have never bought another bottle of water or drank out of the tap. It is a great value and it is necessary especially when you learn what’s in the tap water we’re drinking. we live in one of the places that has the best tasting tapwater, and it is still amazing what a difference you taste after using the water machine it’s clean it’s refreshing and it taste like you’re doing something good!

Filters Don’t Filter At All – Before / After PPM Reduction is Non-Existent in Water Testing
Hi, all future potential buyers considering this particular unit. I purchased this all-glass water filtration dispenser for many of the same reasons the rest of the reviewers have stated regarding the desire for all glass construction and high quality filtration advertised.Con 1 – No Appreciable Effect on Tap Water via Filtration:However, after some time of usage and on-going PPM meter testing, I do not believe the included carbon filters are doing their job at all of reducing incoming tap water in my local area of 244-252 PPM incoming, to any substantial reduction via the filters’ drip setup. I’ve been getting the same 242-249 PPM range over regular usage and regular water sampling with standard water quality TDS meters. I also did not “taste” the difference, nor see any difference in the particulate subjectively floating around. Very negatively surprising to see such massive drip style filter units not have any effect on PPM Level reduction of any amount.Con 2 – Difficult Spout Seal Installation:The included hardware to install the white rubber spout seal is extremely difficult to get water tight without much effort/force. The GD&T manufacturing tolerancing is found wanting, though if one applies enough effort/force, the spout seal can be eventually made tight enough to stop leakage thru install usage/leak testing at the spout seal interface.Con 3 – Rough Glass Edge Finishing & Smelly Chamber Seals:The black rubber chamber seals is extremely smelly upon delivery. And the use of them to cushion the between chamber interface, as well as lid is a questionable design decision due to the bacteria that is able to grow unseen in those rubber lip interfaces. I ended up having to leave them out entirely to air dry and de-scent, and really haven’t used them since.The glass chamber edge finishes themselves at their large diameter openings is a bit rough. I wish the manufacturer would have paid a little more polishing / smoothing attention to the finish. Note to users, you will notice/see the condensation within the chambers with or without the black rubber chamber seals and you may want to be mindful that letting water sit in either chamber for long periods of time may encourage bacterial growth in these glass chambers (reg interior chamber cleaning required).Con 4 – Minor Functional Design Flaws:The spout positioning itself is about 2-2.5 inches above the bottom of the chamber. Therefore, you won’t be able to dispense all the water you “filter” (note Con 1 above).Final Review as of 2021-10-06:On the basis alone of being advertised as all glass construction with an effective filtration setup, I must unfortunately must give a 1-Star review due to the lack of effective water filtration results measured by my TDS Meters in sampling conducted over extended usage/time. To Con 1 described above, I’m not seeing the carbon stage filters doing anything with my PPM levels as a normal filter in any Brita-Like Water Filter Pitcher would be expected to show (a decreasing PPM level), let alone a sink connect-in reverse osmosis system.I had high hopes for this purchase with its drip filtration setup, large reservoir, & construction – And unfortunately they have come far short on the filtration goal and can’t recommend it. If you decide to go forward with your purchase of this unit, I sincerely hope you have a better experience than I have with your filtration.

After I bought mine I bought three more to gift my children. We Are ALL thrilled with the Water Machine. We’re on a journey to live cleaner and healthier. This is a huge part of that journey. It’s stylish and does a great job. I feel so much better about our clean water consumption.
