A good, but basic, gravity water filter system
I’m familiar with these types of water filter systems, and I own one that’s smaller. I wanted a bigger one, so when I saw this, I got it. It came in and I started putting it together. It was difficult to separate the parts, they are firmly nestled together. I eventually had to fashion a handle from a zip tie to get the large cans apart, please see the attached picture. But that’s not why I knocked a star from this item, nor is the lack of a sight glass (handy), because this item doesn’t come with one, and I knew that. Also, a sight glass can be purchased for a relatively small amount, so there’s that. No, I took a star off because I didn’t care for the instructions. If you’re not familiar with one of these systems or are not mechanically inclined, it would be easy to miss a few steps or to put on parts incorrectly. An example is the exploded parts diagram for the spout; a few crucial parts are not listed, or their function explained. While I appreciated the included wrench, people need to know exactly how the sealing washers or the little filter screen should be applied. For this reason, I added extra pictures to this review so you can see how this goes. I hope this helps. While assembling, and the instructions were correct in this regard, do not overtighten things. Just go hand tight, and then a little more, and it’ll be OK.After assembly, I tested for leaks using POTABLE water. It’s easy; just put water in the upper can BELOW the level of the filter; if the leak test water gets into the filter, then water will come from the filter discharge, that is its job. You want to see if any unfiltered water leaks into the lower can; you must prevent this. A few germs go a long way when it comes to waterborne diseases. Also, there was another gray area in the instructions, you have to flush the new filter. While the instructions show you approximately how to do this, they make no mention of the thick, yellow washer that is included specifically (I think) for this purpose. In any case, I used the yellow washer to seal the sink spigot and it worked well to flush the filter. After flushing and leak testing, it was time to test the function of the complete, assembled unit. I chose to use only one filter so that I would have the second for a spare. Of course, this slowed down my filtration rate. I pumped a gallon of not-so-great well water and let it settle for a while. The less particulates in the filtered water, the longer the life of the filter itself. However, for the test, I wanted unappetizing-looking, murky water, and I knew my well would supply me with such. I poured it into the upper can and was careful not to add the dregs from the bottom of the bucket. Then, I walked away.A few hours later, the unit filtered about half of the supplied water. It was slow, and perhaps I should have installed the second filter. However, if you are not in a hurry, one filter suffices. I returned in the evening and checked again, the unit was done filtering. I removed the upper container, took it out, and flushed it with clean water. I looked at the filtered water, it was crystal clear. So far, so good. It was time for the ultimate test.I decanted a full glass of water and drank it. It tasted fine, although there was a slight mineral tang. This could be because it was a brand-new filter. But in any case, it was not unpleasant. On the next day, today, I felt fine. No problems and that may have not been the case if I had drank that nasty well water straight! This is a good unit, and you can use it with confidence. However, you’ll have to think a little about the assembly. Recommended for general-purpose, drinkable water, use.

    Sturdy and easy to assemble.
Very easy to assemble and fits perfect under my CO-Z Gravity-Fed water system. It’s very sturdy and helpful. I can put my 14-cup coffee carafe under the spout to fill. I’m happy with the price I paid.

OMG! Wanted one for a long time!
This review is for the 2.25 Gal Gravity Fed Water Filter System – Countertop Stainless Steel Countertop Water Filtration System, Gravity Water Purifier with 2 Carbon Filters NSF/ANSI 42 Certification.Oh my goodness! I’ve wanted one of this type of water filter containers for a long time! I’m so happy I was able to get this in my offers! I looked and looked trying to find a more economical choice than a Berkey, and finally got a big waterdrop filter conatiner, which I still like it! It’s sitting on our kitchen counter being used as I write this. This new one just expands our options of being able to keep more fresh filtered water on hand!So I eagerly opened this upon delivery and went about setting it up! So follow the directions on the initial soak of the filters/set up and run several complete filtrations through tossing out the water and rinsing the unit… it’s not unusual at all for water container filters to shed some black carbon powder or white powder from the filter fiber material at first. I usually find 3 times of the filter, toss water, rinse, filter agin with fresh water… does the trick. The initial soak is very important too! The coconut carbon/fiber materials need time to fully absorb water to reach maximum expansion. No matter how you get your water/ the source, if you want to extend the use of your filters run it through a clean white unused coffee filter first to remove any dirt/sediment that may be in it! Lots of factors contribute to sediment in your water, and certain things can make it worse like storms, if you run your well at a lower level, if your water pulls from a spring/springhouse… and city water is not exempt from this! LOL. If you don’t believe me start doing the prefilter and see. Jusrt because it might be clear once, doesn’t mean it always will be.So I have a tall sight glass spigot that has a metal stainless steel cage around it that I put on this to make it easier to tell when it needs water added to the top. Which I prob didn’t need to put it on it as I’ll just keep it full all the time. But it’s cool on it, it has a red ball in it that floats making it easy to see for the water le.So you can use 1 filter and block the other filter hole or the 2 at the same time. If you don’t go through the water that fast you may be fine with just the single filtering. If you need a faster fill rate then use the 2 filters. This comes with a nice metal stand to set it on that has rubber on the feet to protect the counter, table… and be nonslip. It’s the perfect sie to fit it around and it’s high enough so you can fit a glass or mug under the spout to fill it. There’s tabs in the sides that stick up too so it can’t slide off the stand. If you’re short like me you might want to set this on a stand/table lower than your countertops LOL.So bottom line, I like this gravity fed water filter system for our needs and it’s a shiny stainless steel unit that should last. If you’re looking for a more budget friendly choice than a much more expensive Berkey system, then this may be a good option for you. You can always boil your water before filtering it, run it through the new white coffee filter to remove any sediment/sand… to prolong your filters in the sytem, then filter using this. If you don’t care for these filters then actual Berkey ones or ones from another brand should work in this unit.Regular price $ 129.99 per the listing, and there’s a $ 20.00 off coupon. Plus there’s one for a free item when you get a select item (this is listed as a select item) and then there’s another for 50% off select items as the brand also has electric water distiller units. As always I only do honest reviews and update if needed. I hope this gelps you make the best choices how to spend your $.

This water filter stand from brand CO-Z is designed specifically for gravity water systems or any similar tank of the same dimension. It is pretty standard as far as stands go, but works perfectly. Solid metal construction with rubber feet that are grippy and keep the tank in place. Not much else to say; if you need one of these for your gravity filter system, this seems like a good choice, though the legs of the stand require a bit of extra table room, so personally I just prefer the rubber circlet that comes with my filter tank already, as it can sit on a smaller space. But everyone has their own preference. 5 stars.

This is a stainless steel stand that is light and shiny. I also like the pattern it was made into, looks quite stylish. The rubber feet is a big plus because it prevents the stand from being slippery. The rubber was also nicely adhered to the feet such that it doesn’t come off too easily.I agree to previous reviews because I also worried a little about its sturdiness. I’m not saying that it will fall apart easily, but I do like it to be a bit more sturdy than it is now. In order to achieve this, I suggest you use soldering gun (luckily I have one at home) instead of using tape. Tape does not solve the problem very well and it looks ugly if you use tapes. Soldering will make it a lot more solid. Of course the soldering point might not look as neat as it was before.

I recently acquired the water filter stand designed for Berkey systems. This stand is compatible with various models like the Big, Royal, and Travel, making it a versatile addition to my kitchen setup. One thing I liked about the stand is its sturdy construction. The stainless-steel material provides a reliable base for my Berkey filter, ensuring it remains stable when filling containers. The non-slip rubber feet also help prevent any sliding on my countertop, which adds to its practicality.Although the height of the stand might not be suitable for everyone. While it works fine for my needs, those with shorter containers might find it a bit too tall to fill easily.I primarily use this stand to elevate my Berkey filter for easier access when pouring water. It helps streamline the process and ensures that I can fill my bottles without difficulty. This water filter stand does its job well, providing stability and usability for my filtration system.

While this stand is the perfect fit for my Big Berkey, the little metal cylinders which you insert the legs into pop off immediately, as I was trying to set it up, leading to a super disappointing unboxing. While the body piece is solidly constructed, the little cylinders, upon closer inspection, were soldered with a teeny-tiny drop which was insufficient to hold. Unfortunately, with two legs broken right out the gate, this item is useless unless you have a soldering gun. Buyer beware.

This water filter stand perfectly fits my CO-Z gravity-fed water filter. It is a practical, durable, and versatile accessory that enhances the functionality and convenience of the gravity-fed water filtration system. The elevated design of the CO-Z Water Filter Stand allows for easy access to your filter and dispensed water, making it more convenient to use on a daily basis. The stand is well-made, stable and sturdy. It is made from high-quality stainless steel. The nonslip rubber feet on the bottom of the stand provide added stability and prevent it from sliding or scratching your countertop.
